Two To One!

If I have two of something it is easier TO SHARE with another than if I only had one. Two can help BALANCE things out better than one. Two can have a better chance of DOING MORE than one. And what good is having something if that something is not used? Might we just as well be without it? Now, consider all this in light of the ears!

In the course of Jesus' teaching, He stated more than once. . .
"(15) He who HAS EARS to hear, LET HIM HEAR." ( Matthew 11:15 ESV)
We find the similar notion in Matthew 13:9 & 43 and also in Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22; 13:9. Do we have ears? Are we using them? If so, for what purposes?

Our two ears may help to support our eye glasses or a hat. They might also be a handy place to hold a pen or pencil. The ears may also be a nice place to be adorned with jewelry. However, why did God doubly bless us with the gift of two ears? So we would use them for listening!

Since we have only one mouth and two ears, let us recognize when we should listen more and talk less. Having two, may we be willing to SHARE A LISTENING EAR. Let us maintain a good BALANCE IN RELATIONSHIPS by being willing to listen to another's needs and desires. Also, putting BOTH EARS TO WORK can do twice as much for us since what we would say with our one mouth we already know. May the ears God has given be used in ways that will glorify Him, help us help others, and bring learning to ourselves.

Have a great day DOUBLING OUR LEARNING AND SERVING OPPORTUNITIES.
