To Do Or Not To Do!

Life is filled with decisions regarding what do to, what not do to, when to act, and when not to act. Sometimes our concern might be with regard to what others think. However, should we not give even more thought to what God thinks? His Will and purposes will ultimately stand. ( Proverbs 19:21) We are therefore to plan and carry out our life activities in connection with what the Lord Wills. ( James 4:15)

Recently my wife was pondering things and began to pose a statement and question on Facebook. As she verbalized it to me, we both immediately thought of a statement made by James. What my wife posted said, "It's NEVER wrong to do the right thing. Is it wrong NOT to do the right thing -- to not do the thing you know you should?" Then she included the James 4:17 reference where we read. . .

"(17) SO WHOEVER KNOWS THE RIGHT THING TO DO AND FAILS TO DO IT, FOR HIM IT IS SIN." ( James 4:17 ESV)

Besides considering our actions and their impact (which we should always do), we also must consider our INACTION and its impact. May we always exercise the DIVINE RIGHT of DOING WHAT IS RIGHT in God's eyes.
