Studied Works!

There are those who study the works of Shakespeare, analyzing the meaning of his writings. Some study the works of artists, looking for hidden messages in the paintings. Then there are those who study the works of this world's philosophers, seeking the meaning of life. And the list goes on of the many varying works that may be studied deep and long. However, in the midst of these studies are those who are always learning, but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. ( 2 Timothy 3:7) How we study is important, but also what we study needs to be given serious consideration. We may enjoy a variety of studies and the world is filled with amazing subjects to be discussed, but what is of the most consequence to us?

In the Psalms we read. . .
"(2) GREAT ARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD, STUDIED BY ALL WHO DELIGHT IN THEM. (3) Full of splendor and majesty is his work and his righteousness endures forever. (4) He has caused HIS WONDROUS WORKS TO BE REMEMBERED; the LORD is gracious and merciful." ( Psalm 111:2-4 ESV)

Are we continually mindful of the WORKS OF GOD? Do we ponder them? Do we study them, realizing they declare something about Himself? (i.e. Romans 1:20) It is the works of the Author of and Creator of life that testify regarding His ability to sustain it now and save it for an eternity. May we find great delight in coming to know and trust Him better through a continual study of HIS WONDROUS WORKS.

Have a great day BEING A STUDIOUS STUDENT OF GOD!
