Need To Understand!

Do we sometimes find ourselves looking at the world and shaking our head? Do we say, "I just don't understand."? The real truth is, we do understand; we know what God has declared and are trying to live in accordance with His standard. It is the world that does not understand. If the world and its leaders understood the life God has in mind for us, Jesus would not have been crucified by the rulers at that time. ( 1 Corinthians 2:8)

David noted. . .
"(11) God is a righteous judge, and a God WHO FEELS INDIGNATION EVERY DAY." ( Psalm 7:11 ESV)

Though some translations refer to God's anger or wrath, the Hebrew (according to Strong's Lexicon) expresses to denounce, express indignation, be indignant, or be angrily indignant. Our English word "INDIGNANT" refers to being "angry or annoyed at the apparent unfairness or unreasonableness of something." [Encarta ® World Dictionary © & (P) 1998-2005 Microsoft Corporation] When we consider how some of what goes on in the world bothers us, how much more so God Who created mankind and still extends His wisdom for guiding life. As in the days of Noah, does it again grieve God for having made man? ( Genesis 6:5-6) Though He promised to not destroy all flesh by water again ( Genesis 9:11-17) -- setting the rainbow in the sky as a sign of remembrance -- a day is coming when judgment and destruction by fire will destroy this realm. ( 2 Peter 3:7 & 10)

We may see the wicked getting away with much, but their wickedness does not go without the notice of God. Neither is God unaware of our striving to live by His standard and for His purposes. There is just as much need for repentance today ( Psalm 7:12 and 2 Peter 3:9) as then, and God's patience presently provides opportunity for it. We need to help those around us come to understand the absence (or restraint) of God's direct and swift judgment now does not mean He doesn't exist or that He accepts what is going on in the world. Instead it is actually a sign of His patience and desire for mankind to come to repentance. ( 2 Peter 3:9) It is in Christ we are saved from the wrath of God. ( Romans 5:9) May we remain there as we strive to draw others to Him.

Have a great day BRINGING TO LIGHT THE TRUE LIFE IN CHRIST!
