To Be Called His Children!

TO BE CALLED HIS CHILDREN

[ John 1:10-14; John 1:1; 1 John 3:1-2]

The Word that was in the beginning
Was with God and one with Him.
The Word became flesh to dwell among men,
The glory of Whom has been seen.
The world, it did not recognize Him,
His own, they received Him not,
Yet all who did then and who do today
Fall under God's redemptive scheme.

(CHORUS)
Oh how great is the love of the Father
That He has lavished on us
That we should be called His children.
Oh what could be more glorious?

The Word that came down from the Father
In glory, the Begotten Son,
Filled with grace and truth to give us the right,
The children of God, to become.
In Christ now we are God's children
And what we'll be is not yet known,
But when He appears we'll be like Him and
Our Lord will then take us on home.
