The "Light Side"! (part 2 of 2)

Yesterday we noted those who had been drawn to the "dark side" even though they attempted to claim God as their father! They were not being motivated by the "FORCE" they thought they were. And the calling of the FORCES of darkness and light continues. Which side are we aligned with and how is it made evident?

OUR HEAVENLY FATHER bids us to come over and remain on the SIDE OF LIGHT. And as we live in kindred spirit with Him we reveal we truly are His children.

Jesus declared. . .
"(43) You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' (44) But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, (45) so that YOU MAY BE SONS OF YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." ( Matthew 5:43-45 ESV)

Jesus also declared the essence of our life is to be characterized as. . .

"You are the LIGHT of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. (15) Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. (16) In the same way, let your LIGHT SHINE before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to YOUR FATHER who is in heaven." ( Matthew 5:14-16 ESV)

May the reality be that GOD IS OUR FATHER and may the world see the power of the force on the side of LIGHT! LIGHT is to be a shared characteristic between God and ourselves if we are truly His children.

John encouraged. . .
"(5) This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that GOD IS LIGHT, and IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL. (6) If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. (7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin." ( 1 John 1:5-7 ESV)

May the FORCE of God's LIGHT be with us so that we are enabled to reflect the Lord's glory in our life and be the LOWER LIGHTS this world needs to gain their much needed direction.
