God's Word Lifts Me Up!

GOD'S WORD LIFTS ME UP!

There seems to be problems, one after another.
I wonder what I'm gonna do.
I guess there'll be problems as long as I'm living;
Until my life here on earth's through.
My Lord didn't promise me life without trials,
But said He would help me get by
If I'd strive to be faithful to follow His footsteps
And lay up my treasures on high.

(CHORUS)
God's Word lifts me up when men's words put me down;
When the world doesn't seem to be fair.
And I know He is faithful to keep all His Promises.
He'll watch o'er me everywhere.

There's people around me who seem to be wealthy
With everything money could buy,
But I've realized how little that worldliness offers.
It's Heaven where true riches lie.
No matter what happens I know He is with me
To help me through struggles and strife.
There's a mansion prepared for me waiting up yonder --
That's where the hope rests for my life.

It's promised with ev'ry temptation that cometh
A way of escape will be there,
For my God is faithful who will let me suffer
No more than I'm able to bear.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength
If I trust and obey His blest Word.
If I give Him my life to care for and to guide
My salvation through Him is assured.
