From Tart To Sweet!
Most of us (if not all) have heard the expression, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." To be honest, making actual lemonade is much easier than working through some of the challenges we are handed in life. However, holding such a perspective toward those challenges prompts us to look beyond the situation and LOOK FOR THE GOOD that can eventually come.
Trusting in God beyond ourselves, let us always remember the encouragement Paul offered those at Rome when he wrote. . .
"(28) AND WE KNOW THAT FOR THOSE WHO LOVE GOD ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD, FOR THOSE WHO ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE." ( Romans 8:28 ESV)
Though Paul did not declare all things to be good, but rather "work together FOR GOOD, is this the thing we have come to know? Some life situations can really set our teeth on edge. They can really be sour! Still, are we able to keep them from souring us on life? Accompanying our view of challenges with the sweetness of the knowledge of the eternal hope we have in Christ and the abiding joy and peace of remaining in His Will, life can be swallowed.
Let us remember God is fully able to work things out in accordance with His Will and in His time. Keeping our focus on this assurance will help us RECOGNIZE THE GOOD when it comes and cause us to be thankful we pressed on in spite of the challenges. Also, each time we experience this, we will develop a greater perspective of hope as we trust God to ultimately work things out FOR GOOD.
Have a great day REFRESHED BY HOPE'S PERSPECTIVE!
