A Better Exercise!
An "exercise" of many is the right to express their opinion and sometimes it is an "exercise" in futility to try to convince them of the FACTS they may have missed. That is a problem with some opinions; they are not always based on all the FACTS. Today the internet abounds with information on just about every subject under the sun. Not all of that information is accurate and therefore the "exercising" of some closer analysis before falling victim to misinformation is wise. The source of information needs to be given serious consideration. Instead of jumping to conclusions too quickly, "a better exercise" would be that of DIGGING FOR THE FACTS.
In the wisdom of Proverbs we read. . .
"(13) If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame." ( Proverbs 18:13)
The New Living Translation reads, "Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish." [NLT, Tyndale House Publishers © 2004, Wheaton, Ill.]
Seeking to KNOW THE FACTS and speaking only them is an "exercise" in wisdom. Let us take care in considering the source of what we hear and read so that our life and what we share with others will be based on the TRUTH. There is no shame in that!
Have a great day EXERCISING GODLY WISDOM!
