He Is Worthy!
As we noted yesterday ( Psalm 95:7b-10), we need to guard against hardening our hearts and not listening to God. He is so worthy of our undivided attention and worshipful focus. As the psalmist stated previous to those verses. . .
"(3) For the LORD is a GREAT GOD, and a GREAT KING ABOVE ALL gods. (4) In HIS hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are HIS also. (5) The sea is HIS, for HE made it, and HIS hands formed the dry land. (6) Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, OUR MAKER! (7) For HE is OUR GOD, and we are the people of HIS pasture, and the sheep of HIS hand. ...." ( Psalm 95:3-7a ESV)
To reflect on those verses it seems it is all about God because all that exists does so because of His great work and position above all! So, what is He to us? Is He OUR GOD? Are we HIS SHEEP and the people of His pasture? Then does our life reflect the "worth-ship" He is due? Does our manner of living and speech declare our acknowledgment of the GREATNESS of God and His sovereignty as "KING ABOVE ALL"; being superior to any other authority or power? Is He remaining the Master over our entire being since He is our Maker?
There is much in this realm competing for our attention. If we are not careful we can become easily distracted by the varying activities of life and drawn away from a rightful singular focus on God and His Will. May we maintain a worshipful focus toward Him every day of our life.
Have a great day KEEPING OUR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION ON GOD!
