Key To Continuity!

One of the unchanging things about life is that things change. Not much remains the same including the weather, passing seasons, and even the phases of our life; the stages from infancy through adulthood. Facing the transitions of ENDINGS and BEGINNINGS and BEGINNINGS and ENDINGS can be viewed with apprehension. How will they go? What will they bring? What will be left behind? What might be gained? How will we work through the transitions? Will we be ready?

Where can we look for stability through the transitions? OUR LORD declared, as recorded by John in the Revelation, . . .

"(12) Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. (13) I am the ALPHA and the OMEGA, the FIRST and the LAST, the BEGINNING and the END." ( Revelation 22:12-13 ESV) [also Revelation 21:26]

ALPHA and OMEGA are the FIRST and LAST letters of the Greek alphabet. Even in the Old Testament the concept of FIRST and LAST was associated with the position of God. (i.e. Isaiah 41:4; 44:6; 48:12) There are many things of which mankind may see the BEGINNING or the END, but perhaps not both. Not so with God. Neither is it so with OUR LORD! The Originator (Creator) [note Colossians 1:15-16] and Ender (Fulfiller) of all that relates to life and eternity! That is OUR LORD! He spans it all. With Him we can be prepared and sustained through all the transitions of life. From BEGINNING to END our life is safe entrusted to His care. OUR UNCHANGING LORD ( Hebrews 13:8) is with us all the way from our BEGINNING and even beyond our END in this realm.

Paul stated. . .
"(8) If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we LIVE OR whether we DIE, WE ARE THE LORD'S. (9) For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be LORD BOTH OF THE DEAD AND OF THE LIVING." ( Romans 14:8-9 ESV)

Even death does not bring an END to our relationship with THE LORD, for the END of this life is merely the BEGINNING of even greater glory! He is the One Who can provide the continuity that brings us through the varying scenes of life and ultimately into the glorious eternity we were created to share with Him. May THE LORD continually remain the unchanging constant in our life!

Have a great day WALKING WITH THE ONE WHO TRANSCENDS IT ALL!
