Be Assured!

With the coming of every year there always seem to be those who make predictions as to what is going to take place. Some of those predictions happen to come about while many never do and people seem to lose sight of that when they listen to those predictors again. Though there have been many dates predicted through the years for the return of Jesus and the end of this world in which we presently live, Jesus made it clear. . .

"(36) But CONCERNING THAT DAY AND HOUR NO ONE KNOWS, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. (37) As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." ( Matthew 24:36-37 ESV)

Some things have not been revealed. The important thing to do is to acknowledge that day is coming by presently living prepared for whenever it might be. We can be assured that in God's time it will take place. (note 2 Peter 3:8-10) Still, as we look at some of the things challenging life in this realm, let us be encouraged that victory will still be found in following God's Will.

Consider the following encouraging predictions that seem to parallel the Will of God that can be COUNTED ON! Additional statements in brackets are mine.

TOP TEN PREDICTIONS FOR 2011

1. The Bible will still have all the answers. [The ones that are of eternal consequence. (note 2 Timothy 3:16-17)]
2. Prayer will still be the most powerful thing on earth. [Let us keep praying and trusting. (note James 5:16)]
3. The Holy Spirit will still move. [Let us continue to keep our life in step with the Spirit. ( Galatians 5:25)]
4. God will still honor the praises of His people. [Every day He is worthy of the praise of all creation. (note Psalm 148)]
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching. [It must remain His message and not man's. (i.e. 1 Peter 4:11)]
6. There will still be singing of praise to God. [May it well up from deep within us. ( Ephesians 5:19)]
7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people. [He is mindful of every aspect and need of our life. ( Matthew 6:25-33)]
8. There will still be room at the Cross. [Only through the sacrifice of Christ is our forgiveness and salvation possible. The hope is for all who will come. ( John 12:32-33)]
9. Jesus will still love you. [The cross reveals the greatness of that love. ( Romans 5:8)]
10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him. [Through Him we gain access to the Father. ( John 14:6)]

Solomon stated. . .
"Many are the plans in the mind of man, BUT IT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE LORD THAT WILL STAND." (note Proverbs 19:21 ESV)

Though it may not always appear to be so, we can still be assured that GOD IS IN CONTROL and will ultimately bring all of His purposes to completion. May we not become discouraged as we continue to seek to serve His Will as we live out each day He provides.

Have a great day KNOWING GOD'S WILL SHALL PREVAIL!
Carl
