Not Always As Appear!

Though there are still some simple toys which have stood the test of time and remain popular (i.e. a tricycle, bat and ball, hula-hoop, etc. ), there's been some real creativity and engineering that has gone into some new toys over the years. Among those toys are the "TRANSFORMERS -- ROBOTS IN DISGUISE" that have not only been popular among children (and adults), but have played out on both the television and movie screen. These vehicles, planes, and other seemingly ordinary objects would transform into robots equipped with weaponry. Such reflects the idea things are not always what they appear to be; being DISGUISED as something else.

DISGUISES may be fun such as for dressing up for a play or party, a father dressing like Santa to give gifts to his children, or for other such purposes. However, because they are used to deceive, we must remain on guard. DISGUISING is nothing new. There are those who are masters of DISGUISE; people who appear different than they truly are. They are deceitful. They are those described as wolves in sheep's clothing. That was the description Jesus applied to the false prophets of that day. ( Matthew 7:15) We must remain aware of sinister plans cleverly at work in the world today to deceptively lead away from the light of God's truth!

In Paul's letter to the church at Corinth he warned. . .
"(12) And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. (13) For such men are FALSE APOSTLES, DECEITFUL WORKMEN, DISGUISING THEMSELVES AS APOSTLES OF CHRIST. (14) And no wonder, for EVEN SATAN DISGUISES HIMSELF AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT. (15) So it is no surprise if HIS SERVANTS, also, DISGUISE THEMSELVES AS SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Their end will correspond to their deeds." ( 2 Corinthians 11:12-15)

We need to keep our focus on the truth of God's Word so that we are not led astray by what may appear to be light, but in actuality is darkness and deception. If we could see the devil's works for what they truly are, the deception might not be so easy. That is why he attempts to counterfeit that which is of the Light. The devil makes evil ways appear beneficial and good. He makes falsehood seem believable and many begin to follow his ways.

Let us remain walking in the light of God's truth so that what is contrary to it may be exposed for what it is. God's Way is still The Way that brings about the best life now and leads to life eternal. As Jesus urged his disciples being sent out as sheep among wolves, may we also "be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." ( Matthew 10:16) Living genuinely in accordance with God's Will and remaining wisely aware of the fruit produced in the lives of others, we will safeguard our life against being deceived and led away.

Have a great day LIVING IN AND FOCUSED ON THE LIGHT OF GOD'S TRUTH!
Carl
