As God Intended!

There are various ways we can tell Fall is here. (1) The calendar tells us it has begun. (2) The temperature is dropping and we had a light frost on the ground this morning. (3) The leaves are changing colors and beginning to fall.

I would miss all the evergreen trees if I moved away from the Northwest, but I do enjoy the changing color of the leaves. Though we do have maple trees, oak trees, and others with leaves that change this time of year I know more of that is seen in other parts of the country. The trees are doing what they are intended to, just as God created them, and we know the leaves will return in the Spring.

God's creation is wonderful and beautiful to behold. And that includes mankind who remains in a proper relationship with Him to do what God created us to do.

The Psalmist wrote. . .
"(1) Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; (2) but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (3) HE IS LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY STREAMS OF WATER THAT YIELDS ITS FRUIT IN ITS SEASON, AND ITS LEAF DOES NOT WITHER. IN ALL THAT HE DOES, HE PROSPERS." ( Psalm 1:1-3 ESV)

As we admire the trees, let us consider our own individual life. Are we planted where we receive proper nourishment and so our leaves do not wither? Are we fruitful in season? May this be the picture of our life.

Have a great day ROOTED IN GOD!
Carl
