Timing!
It is often said that "Timing is everything." When it comes to engines, if the timing is off, they do not run very well. The same can be true with life. When timing is off there are blessings and opportunities that are missed.
Now, not everything in life happens according to set timetables. That is, at least according to what we can either mark out or set. With life lived generally in this earthly realm there is a sense in which "time and chance" happen to everyone. ( Ecclesiastes 9:11) There are times we just happen to be at the right place at the right time. However, as we strive to walk under the guidance of God, even then we might conclude it was God Who brought us to that place at that time in order to bless us or use us in some way. Still, the reality is that not all of life's happenings can be marked on a calendar; at least not in advance.
Where is our focus, then, as we move on through life? Is there are sense in which we trustingly surrender to GOD'S TIME? He not only has our lifespan in view, but eternity as well.
Solomon pondered. . .
"(9) What gain has the worker from his toil? (10) I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. (11) HE HAS MADE EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IN ITS TIME. Also, HE HAS PUT ETERNITY INTO MAN'S HEART, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. (12) I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; (13) also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil -- this is God's gift to man." ( Ecclesiastes 3:9-13 ESV)
Even through life's trials, do we see the beauty God can bring? Remember how God created the oyster to make the pearl from sand that at first becomes an irritation to it. Some of life's greatest challenges can become such. Therefore, as we walk with God, let us continue to look for the pearls He can add to our life through the varied experiences. Recognize the blessings of greater faith, further spiritual growth, and a stronger witness our life can be for others as they recognize where our solid faith rests. Even if we could see what God sees, we would not be able to comprehend it. However, what He has revealed, let us rejoice in that knowledge as our faith is made stronger.
As we walk with God -- not knowing every experience we will have along life's way -- let us trust in HIS TIMING. In HIS TIME He will bring about all He has in mind for us. Solomon went on to note that whatever God does lasts forever. ( Ecclesiastes 3:14) We are still a wondrous work in His hands. Therefore, let us be joyful and do good as long as we live.
Have a great day TRUSTING GOD'S TIMING TO BE RIGHT!
