Blessed Listeners!

God all along has desired to bless those who will rightly acknowledge their relationship to Him. That blessing began in creating the beautiful world in which we live. The first human beings -- Adam and Eve -- enjoyed a paradise on earth in the garden God provided for their home. And along with providing that blessing God also imparted instruction whereby that continued blessing could be enjoyed. ( Genesis 2:16-17) However, the devil was given the listening ear and God's Will was not followed. ( Genesis 3) What was the result? Paradise lost!

As the writer of Hebrews began his letter to encourage Christians facing difficult times, he wrote. . .

"(1) Long ago, at MANY TIMES and in MANY WAYS, GOD SPOKE TO OUR FATHERS BY THE PROPHETS, (2) BUT IN THESE LAST DAYS, HE HAS SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SON, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world." ( Hebrews 1:1-2 ESV)

God has always provided a means of revealing His Will so that what He expects from us and what we can expect from Him can be known. However, the means of communication has not always been the same. Rather than a mere voice, visions, by use of angels as His messengers, or through the Law or His prophets, "God in the flesh" ( John 1:1-2, & 14; Matthew 1:23) taught among men revealing the true heart (i.e. Mathew 5-7) of the message of wisdom from above for living life here on earth and being prepared for life eternal. Peter, James, and John even witnessed the declaration of the focus turning from the Law and the prophets to LISTENING TO THE SON. ( Matthew 17:4-5)

God has been faithful in proclaiming His Will. The real issue is how faithful are we in listening, ACCEPTING, and putting it into PRACTICE in our own life. That is the listener who is blessed! ( Matthew 7:24-25; James 1:25)

May we continue to build our life on the truth of Jesus as we live here to serve the purposes from above. What is the result of such a relationship? Paradise regained!

Have a great day BLESSED LIVING LIFE IN THE TRUTH OF THE SON!
Carl
