Profitable Training! (part 11 of 14)

As I began to lay out a program to lose weight, though I quickly saw how I needed to cut down on the amount of food I was consuming, I realized that was not going to be enough. I also needed to get serious about more regular exercise. Calories needed to be burned. Exercise was necessary to WORK OFF FAT. Research has clearly shown that the best way to achieve long-term weight control is through regular exercise. Exercise improves some of the conditions that can otherwise lead to high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and also diabetes.

Godliness aids in trimming the FAT that should not be in our life. There are things we must realize need to be gotten rid of. To be weighed down by these things will inevitably slow or completely halt our quest for spiritual progress.

The Hebrew writer urged. . .
"(1) Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, LET US also LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT, AND SIN WHICH CLINGS SO CLOSELY, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us," ( Hebrews 12:1 ESV)

Let us throw off what hinders. The more we trim, the easier the race becomes.
