Prompted From Within!

Someone calls out and it catches our attention. We turn our head toward them and see who is talking. Having OUR FACE turned toward them may tell them we heard. However, did we truly listen? Should we not consider this also in our relationship to God and His Will? We may look up to Him. We may turn OUR FACE toward the reading of His Word. But are we listening? Are we focused? Are we truly submissive and responsive to Him? Though the face is turned and the eyes see, is there not something more which must be turned toward Him?

I like what the psalmist David implied where we read. . .
"(7) Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! (8) You have said, 'Seek my face.' MY HEART SAYS TO YOU, 'YOUR FACE, LORD, DO I SEEK.'" ( Psalm 27:7-8 ESV)

God wants us to seek His face. That implies a desire to live in His presence and continue moving the life toward Him. However, the turning of the face toward God needs to rightfully begin IN THE HEART. More than a glance, it is to be a steadfast focus bound up in love for Him and His Will. Is OUR HEART declaring, "YOUR FACE, LORD, DO I SEEK" or is it focused more elsewhere? Not just a verbal acknowledgement, but a HEART acknowledgement. Keeping OUR FACE turned toward God is greeted by HIS FACE turned toward us. May we appreciate the blessing of living life FACE-TOWARD-FACE with God as we look forward to the day we will enter into His eternal FACE-TO-FACE presence.

Have a great day KEEPING THE HEART FACED TOWARD GOD!
