"Semper Fi !"

"Semper Fi!" is the Marine's motto and is Latin for "ALWAYS FAITHFUL." Now, I don't know how you might view the Marines, but it seems to me it is too good of a motto to allow the Marines to have a corner on it. The Marines might be the first to hit the beach, but they were not the first to come up with this idea. In fact, to me it sounds like a motto God instituted long before the Marines were even around. FAITHFULNESS is what God has continued to look for in His people.

Paul writing to the church in Corinth wrote:
"(1) This is how one should regard us, AS SERVANTS OF CHRIST and stewards of the mysteries of God. (2) Moreover, IT IS REQUIRED OF STEWARDS THAT THEY BE FOUND TRUSTWORTHY." ( I Corinthians 4:1-2 ESV)

The Greek word Paul used here translated "trustworthy" is "pistos" which has also been translated "FAITHFUL" and "trustworthy". As Christians, we are servants of God. Therefore we must continue to acknowledge Him as the Master as we continue our involvement in doing the service of His will. As His servants, God has entrusted us with a mission. He has given us His Gospel (Good News) to share with others. He has also called us to make Him known through the manner in which we live our daily life.

Are we FAITHFUL to the trust? Are we willing to speak from our heart the motto, "Semper Fi!", "ALWAYS FAITHFUL!"?

Since we have been given a trust, let us show ourselves TRUSTWORTHY. God is FAITHFUL to all His promises for us. The best way to show God our appreciation is to be "ALWAYS FAITHFUL" in what He has called upon us to do.

"Semper Fi!" [Can you say it?] "Semper Fi!" [Can you mean it?] "Semper Fi!" [Can you recommit yourself and aim for it daily?]

"Semper Fi!" [I can't hear you!] "Semper Fi!" [Louder!] "SEMPER FI!" [Say it with all you've got!] "SEMPER FI!" [Mean it with all your heart!] "SEMPER FI!" [Live it with all your life!] "SEMPER FI!"

Have a great day REMAINING "ALWAYS FAITHFUL" TO GOD'S CALL!
Carl
