Attitude Reflected In Action!
We may think our life is properly centered and declare our ULTIMATE ALLEGIANCE TO THE WILL OF GOD, but what do our actions reveal? What does the manner in which we are toward others say about our view of God and His Will?
Solomon stated. . .
"(2) Whoever WALKS IN UPRIGHTNESS FEARS THE LORD, but he WHO IS DEVIOUS IN HIS WAYS DESPISES HIM." ( Proverbs 14:2 ESV)
Wow! That is a pretty strong statement! Does our manner of living reveal we do fear the Lord (knowing we are ultimately accountable to Him as well as recognizing how He is being reverenced when we live according to His Will) or does it indicate we despise Him? We might think we would never despise the Lord, but to ignore His Will is to actually turn our back on Him and therefore an indication we do not like His Way. Do we recognize how our attitude toward God is reflected in our behavior and the manner in which we are with others? Solomon would later state that when the poor is oppressed it "insults his Maker." ( Proverbs 14:31)
God is being despised when we exalt our own desires and look down on His. Often that focus is at the root of life's challenges, for when one's life becomes more about self than God or others it is then easier for deviousness to arise and uprightness to be left behind. Are we maintaining a steadfast reverential fear of God?
May GOD'S WILL ALWAYS BE EXALTED in the actions of our life. The manner in which we live and how we treat others says something about our view of God and our relationship to Him. Knowing we always live in the presence of God should encourage us to live in UPRIGHTNESS IN ALL THINGS. May our life continually reveal due reverence toward Him!
Have a great day LIVING WITH DUE REVERENCE AND AWE OF THE ALMIGHTY!
