Impossible Made Possible!

"I'm my own person!"
"I scraped and worked hard and made a success of myself!"
"Look at what I have made of myself!"
"I can straighten myself out! I don't need anyone else!"

These are all the statements of the arrogant who would like to think they do not need anyone else, including God. They are the statements of those who are thinking too highly of themselves. If mankind were so smart to straighten out life's problems, then why is this world in such a mess? Why does there continue to be a lack of peace? Why do nations and individuals not get along? Because too many think they are smart enough to fix it all without the aid or wisdom of God. But the fact is WE NEED GOD!

Following a discussion Jesus had with a rich young man of whom there was the need to realize how riches can get in the way of man, His disciples asked the question . . .

"...'WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED?'" (Mathew 19:25 ESV)

In the next verse we read Jesus' response.

"But Jesus looked at them and said, 'WITH MAN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE, BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.'" ( Matthew 19:26 ESV)

It is God who makes our salvation possible. We cannot save ourselves. God must be in the picture. God must be a part of our lives. We need His help and His wisdom to change the things in our lives that need changing and keep us going the direction that will ultimately lead us to eternity with Him. WE CANNOT DO IT OURSELVES! IT IS (in the words of Jesus) "IMPOSSIBLE"! But it is ALL POSSIBLE WITH GOD!

Thank God for making the IMPOSSIBLE for us POSSIBLE! May we keep our focus on Him and His Will. It will not only benefit our life and relationships now, but our eternity also depends on it.

Have a great day KNOWING FOR WHAT WE CAN DEPEND ON GOD!
Carl
