Worth The Effort!

Sometimes we make the decision that something is not worth the effort, even before we have begun or tried. Such judgment is often based on very limited information. How do we truly know? (note Ecclesiastes 11:6) Though there are some things in life that may truly not be worth the effort, we do need to be careful we are not preventing ourselves from carrying out WHAT THE LORD DESIRES us to do.

In Paul's letter to the church at Rome, he noted. . .
"(6) For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. (7) For one will scarcely die for a righteous person -- though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die -- (8) but GOD SHOWS HIS LOVE for us in that WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US." ( Romans 5:6-8 ESV)

The inclination of mankind is to consider whether another is worth saving or not. Are they "good" enough? However, the Father and the Son invested in the means of our salvation even "while we were still sinners." The great contrast is that with us, too often the judgment is made beforehand. With God, the judgment will come later. For now He has provided the means of salvation with the desire for us to accept it. To God and our Lord -- Who willingly gave Himself on the cross for our sins -- the salvation of our souls was worth the effort.

Let us guard against pre-judging whether or not some will respond to the message of salvation in Christ. Instead, as we recognize we in no way deserved such a gift ourselves, remember GOD'S DESIRE is for the opportunity to be shared with others. May our life reflect God's grace has not been extended in vain as we live for His purposes, share the Good News with others, and leave the ultimate judgment to Him!

Have a great day BEING MADE GOOD BY GOD!
