Work Out!

Exercise is good for the body. It also impacts the mind and mood. Having a strong healthy body helps ward off disease and lends toward continued active living. However, my strength alone is not sufficient in and of itself. There are forces greater than me with which to contend. Therefore I must look for strength beyond myself.

As Paul was about to list the spiritual armor God supplies to help us make it through life's spiritual battles, he began by urging. . .

"Finally, BE STRONG IN THE LORD and IN THE STRENGTH OF HIS MIGHT." ( Ephesians 6:10 ESV)

"STRONG" is from "endunomoo" ("en" is "in" and "dunomis" is "power"), "STRENGTH" is from "kratos" (power or strength), and "MIGHT" is from "ischus" (ability, force, or strength). [source: W.E. Vine's Expository Dict. Of N.T. Words] The urging is to be strong in the strength of the Lord's ability or strength. There is strong. And then there is GOD STRONG! It is not because I work out, but because His Will shall work out that ultimate victory in the battle will come! Therefore in Him I will place my trust.

Have a great day KNOWING WE HAVE HIS FORCE WITH US!
