The Color Of Truth!

Colors have been attributed to many actions and feelings. Black has become associated with the darkness of evil. Red has been used to depict anger. Yellow has been the designation for being cowardly. Etc.

The statement has been made that people who tell white lies soon become colorblind. When one becomes untruthful in even the seemly small things, it becomes easier with bigger things. Eventually this places one in a state where not only can he/she no longer be believed by others, but the truth soon becomes a blur to the point the lies actually become believable to themselves.

Paul exhorted the church at Colossae. . .
"(9) DO NOT LIE TO ONE ANOTHER, seeing that YOU HAVE PUT OFF THE OLD SELF WITH ITS PRACTICES (10) and HAVE PUT ON THE NEW SELF, which is being renewed in knowledge AFTER THE IMAGE OF ITS CREATOR." ( Colossians 3:9-10 ESV)

To be TRUTHFUL IN ALL THINGS is to be GOD-LIKE. He cannot and will not lie! ( Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18) He is all about righteousness and truth! Having been created in HIS IMAGE ( Genesis 1:27) it is part of THE IMAGE He desires to renew within each of us.

As Christians we ought to be the MOST BELIEVABLE FOLK AROUND. Even Paul tried to keep it clear that there was no room for deception in the way he ministered and shared the Word of God. Truthfulness is an important facet of our Christian walk. May that GODLY ESSENCE be clearly evident in our day-to-day living.

Have a great day SEEING AND TELLING AS GOD WOULD HAVE IT.
