Lessons Learned!

Jesus exhorted some who were judging by mere appearances to "judge with right judgment." ( John 7:24 ESV) Do we need that same exhortation today? Is the world in which we live in necessity of taking it to heart as well? Are there not things judged to be right that are actually wrong while there are also things judged to be wrong that are actually right? Jesus made the above statement after declaring His teaching was not His own, but was from Him Who had sent Him (read John 7:14-18); that is the Heavenly Father. The life principles Jesus came to share were not of this earth, but of a much higher source; FROM ABOVE!

In a song God had Isaiah prophecy would be sung in the land of Judah, we read. . .
"(9) My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when YOUR JUDGMENTS are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS. (10) If favor is shown to the wicked, he does not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness he deals corruptly and does not see the majesty of the LORD." ( Isaiah 26:9-10 ESV)

It is when God's Will is acknowledged and followed that RIGHTEOUSNESS is exalted. However, when we see immorality flaunted and accepted, the "wicked" will never learn RIGHTEOUSNESS, but will instead be lulled into thinking they are just fine doing their own thing. The "wicked" often fail to recognize God's patience and graciousness is their opportunity to change, not that He has changed His mind and decided to approve. The truth remains, God's judgment will someday be faced! Therefore it is wise for us all to learn from His judgment now.

It is not from the world's judgment (determination, discernment, perspective, wisdom, etc.) that RIGHTEOUSNESS is learned, but FROM GOD'S JUDGMENTS (determination, discernment, perspective, wisdom, etc.)! The RIGHTEOUSNESS of His Way and Will shall one day be recognized by all. What we learn from other sources (school, peers, the media, etc.) is to be measured by the RIGHTEOUS standard God has provided. May we continue to learn from God's judgments -- doing our part to keep them visible here on earth -- so that those around us may begin to recognize HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and learn from it!

Have a great day LEARNING FROM THE HIGHER SCHOOL!
