Easily Comes!
There are some who will believe just about anything while others refuse to believe even the clearest of truths. As we are sometimes amazed at what some people will believe we may also be amazed by what they won't accept regardless of the proofs. What creates the challenge?
Solomon noted. . .
"A scoffer seeks WISDOM in vain, but KNOWLEDGE is easy for a man of UNDERSTANDING." ( Proverbs 14:6 ESV)
It may seem odd to read of a scoffer (or mocker) seeking wisdom since Solomon earlier noted a scoffer's unwillingness to listen to rebuke. ( Proverbs 13:1) However, this illustrates the problem is solely with the attitude of the scoffer and not with the truth presented.
How many times was Jesus -- THE WORD in the flesh ( John 1:14) and THE TRUTH ( John 14:6) -- asked questions by those who actually were not seeking to learn, but only to trap Him? They mocked Him and left angry rather than enlightened. They did not possess an OPENNESS TO TRUTH! Those who sincerely SEEK THE LORD know where to find wisdom. They are the ones who exercise proper discernment while the scoffer accepts information from the wrong sources.
Since God is completely consistent in what He has revealed, continually SEEKING HIS WILL provides the easiest way to gain the knowledge we need for righteous living. Understanding this, our pursuit will not be in vain. Praise God for the wisdom He has preserved and made readily available for us.
Have a great day CONTINUALLY OPEN TO THE WISDOM FROM ABOVE!
