The Heart Of The Matter! (part 8 of 8)

The good fruit's connected to the good tree, the good tree's connected to the good root, the good root's grounded in the good soil, and that's the way it grows. Hmmm. That's got a nice little jingle to it. It kind of reminds me of a song about connected bones.

Well, Jesus said it this way:
"(43) For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, (44) for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. (45) The good person out of the GOOD TREASURE OF HIS HEART produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKS." ( Luke 6:43-45 ESV)

So that's from where the words come! Could the SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HEART'S STOREHOUSE be pointed out any clearer? The statement has been made: "Problem with the mouth? Hit 'em in the mouth!" But this seems to point out the problem is in the heart.

As we READ GOD'S WORD, let Him "HIT US IN THE HEART" so that our words and all other aspects of our lives will be in harmony with Him. Then as our heart overflows it will be in speech and actions which will glorify God and benefit those around us.
