The Heart Of The Matter! (part 5 of 8)

The thoughts. The memories. The ideas retained. The harborings. The experiences and messages mulled over. The points we keep pondering. The images we continue picturing. What characterizes such things? Who else would we want peering in on them?

The Psalmist prayed:
"(14) Let the words of my mouth and the MEDITATION OF MY HEART BE ACCEPTABLE in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer." ( Psalm 19:14 ESV)

Is that also our prayer? Is that our desire. The things held within the heart, the thoughts cherished, the ideas continually focused on are what will be at the root of our outward life. These are the things which really define our character. May they be pleasing to the One who sees them all.
