The Heart Of The Matter! (part 4 of 8)

"Up against the wall, feet back, and spread 'em!" And the "pat down" search begins. Looking for contraband or looking for evidence is what that's all about. But what if something is on the inside -- I mean swallowed? An x-ray can reveal that? But God does not need an x-ray machine to take a look within.

The Psalmist stated:
"(23) Search me, O God, and KNOW MY HEART! Try me and know my thoughts! (24) And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!" ( Psalm 139:23-24 ESV)

Do we dare pray such a prayer? Only if we truly desire to be right with God that we might always live according to His Will. However, whether we desire God to KNOW OUR HEART or not, HE DOES! It is to our advantage to be able to know what is going on within our heart so we can make the changes needed for our spiritual health. May we find comfort in God's searches, knowing He will lead us in right ways.
