Father's Day!

This coming Sunday is a special day that has been set aside each year with the designation "Father's Day". This day is approached in various ways depending on the type of relationship there is with each particular father. Fathers come in all shapes and sizes. Fathers come with various temperaments and qualities. Fathers are to be loved, honored and respected. However we know that because of the choices of some fathers this may be difficult. This is why we need to keep fathers in our prayers; that they might be the kind of fathers the Heavenly Father desires them to be. I had a father who continued to be a blessing to my life, for which I thank God. I pray that is the view of my own children. If you do not have a good relationship with your father my heart goes out to you.

We have a Father, however, to whom EVERY DAY should be one in which we love, honor, and respect Him. Our Heavenly Father is perfect in His love. He has promised to not forsake us. And He should be viewed as the example for all earthly fathers.

In his letter to the church at Ephesus, Paul wrote. . .
"(2) Grace to you and peace from GOD OUR FATHER and the Lord Jesus Christ. (3) BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HAS BLESSED US in Christ WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING in the heavenly places," ( Ephesians 1:2-3 ESV)

Have a great EVERY DAY FATHER'S DAY!
