Was, Is, And Will Be!

When God began His Creation -- as He spoke everything into existence -- we find again and again the expression, "AND IT WAS SO." ( Genesis 1:7, 9, 11, 15, 24, & 30) Each time God spoke, what He had in mind to do took place. His Word brought about activity. His Word brought about life. Does that power not remain in HIS WORD even today? The One Who was, is and will be -- because He is eternal -- speaks to bring about what was, is and will be. And IT WILL BE SO!

Through His prophet Isaiah, God revealed. . .
"(10) For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, (11) SO SHALL MY WORD BE that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but IT SHALL ACCOMPLISH THAT WHICH I PURPOSE, AND SHALL SUCCEED IN THE THING FOR WHICH I SENT IT." ( Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV)

God does not speak empty words and so they shall not return to Him empty. God does not speak idle words, but words that produce action in the lives of those who will receive them. HIS WORDS will fulfill what He has spoken! Just as God brought about this Creation in the beginning by HIS WORD, so He will someday bring it to an end by that SAME WORD. ( 2 Peter 3:7) Therefore we ought to BE ATTENTIVE to what He has spoken so that what He has declared WILL BE SO in our own life.

Let us continue to turn to the One Who has the "WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE" ( John 6:68) as we trust what God has said will be, will be. "Holding fast to the WORD OF LIFE" we will be prepared for the day of Christ ( Philippians 2:15 ESV) that will surely come to be! God's track record regarding being true to HIS WORD reveals that to be the case. As He spoke "AND IT WAS SO" in the beginning, may we therefore allow HIS WORD TO BE SO in our daily life.
