Do You Read Me?

Do you read me? Am I coming in clear? Is there too much static? Does the volume need adjusting? Do I need to change my frequency?

Do you read me? Is the message cluttered? Is the print fading? Can you make any sense of it? Is the frequency of the message adequately signifying its importance?

Many may be living lives that are like an "open book", but what is written on those pages? As we live our life it is good to keep in mind the adage, "You may be the only Bible some people read." Certainly we ought to help people understand the need for becoming familiar with God's Word and the value of regular reading and Bible study. However, it may take SEEING IT IN OUR LIFE before others develop an interest to study for themselves. As we go about our day to day activities can the message be clearly read or have we cluttered our life with so much other stuff that what is written is undistinguishable from the messages offered by the world?

In his second letter to the church at Corinth, Paul noted. . .
"(2) You yourselves are our LETTER of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be KNOWN AND READ BY ALL. (3) And you show that YOU ARE A LETTER FROM CHRIST delivered by us, WRITTEN not with ink but WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD, not on tablets of stone but ON TABLETS OF HUMAN HEARTS." ( 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 ESV)

God's wisdom for life is not to be revealed in theory, but in its practical application to -- and practice in -- life. As we accept God's message it is to be TRANSLATED INTO LIVING! How is the world reading us? Is God's standard being muddled or is it clearly legible in the manner in which we go about our daily life?

Let us live life to God's glory so that what is written there will be worth reading. As the pages of our life are turned, let us aim for each to reveal how God's standards are relevant for every aspect of life.

Have a great day LIVING AS GOD'S OPEN BOOK!
Carl
