Bite Size!
When we bite off more than we can chew we are likely to choke. Just as this is true with consuming food, so it is also true with consuming life. We choke when we overfill our schedules or when we are concerning ourselves so much with what may happen tomorrow that we are unable to deal with the things of today! Someone has stated: "Life is a trial, mile by mile. Life is hard, yard by yard. But it's a cinch, inch by inch." [source: bulletin clipping] Since life is filled with varied situations and challenges, how are we trying to handle it?
Jesus urged. . .
"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. SUFFICIENT FOR THE DAY is its own trouble." ( Matthew 6:34 ESV)
Jesus was dealing with the subject of anxiety or worry in life. In that context He tried to draw the attention of trust toward the Heavenly Father. ( Matthew 6:30-32) We are urged not to borrow from tomorrow. God gives us life in DAILY DOSES. His wisdom tells us this is the best way to handle life. Properly handling each day as it comes will also protect from the stuff of yesterday being dragged into the new day. For one to procrastinate is to create their own anxiety. Dealing with life's cares and concerns in the DAILY DOSES with which God doles out life, we will find such is sufficient to deal with as we trust God to provide the wisdom and energy to work things out.
Have a great day WISELY LIVING LIFE'S MORSELS AS THEY COME!
