Being Shut Out!

Being shut out of where we want to be can be very disheartening. To be excluded can be a blow to our esteem. Especially when we feel we have something good to offer, we want to be there to help make a difference in life. Knowing how we feel in spite of our limited wisdom, consider what God's view is when He watches humanity shut Him and His Wisdom out as they pursue their own ideals.

Note the following charge against God's people during the time of Isaiah.
"(14) Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for TRUTH HAS STUMBLED IN THE PUBLIC SQUARES, and UPRIGHTNESS CANNOT ENTER." ( Isaiah 59:14 ESV)

That doesn't seem like a very far cry from scenes we might witness today. In the public affairs of life there are many who cause TRUTH to stumble as the righteousness of God is kept from being allowed to enter into the discussions of life. In the attempt to "shut up" Christians the wisdom of God is being "shut out" and the life God desires to bless humanity with even within this realm is being missed out on. TRUTH is being trampled rather than upheld by a world so busy running after its own desires.

Jesus -- Who is "THE TRUTH" ( John 14:6) -- became a "stumbling stone" for those who would not accept Him ( Romans 9:32; 1 Peter 2:8; 1 Corinthians 1:23) as was prophesied. ( Luke 20:17-18; Psalm 118:22) However, by accepting THE TRUTH and carrying it with us we will not be found to be stumbling over it. May the wisdom of God be carried out in our life in a manner that others will see its evidence and begin to open the door of their life wider to it.
