A Sweet Embrace! (part 1 of 3)

When we look at couples in this world, sometimes we are quickly struck by how some people are truly meant for each other. They seem to be quite suitably matched, complementing each other’s lives in ways that continue to draw them closer and closer together into a bond that is unbreakable. To be embraced in such a relationship is a beautiful thing. However, it is the possession of a committed and humble heart that helps such relationships flourish.

In one of the psalms of the sons of Korah we read. . .
“(10) STEADFAST LOVE and FAITHFULNESS meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other. (11) Faithfulness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky. (12) Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. (13) Righteousness will go before him and make his footsteps a way.” ( Psalm 85:10-13 ESV)

Introduced to each other, STEADFAST LOVE and FAITHFULNESS are truly a match made in Heaven. God’s STEADFAST LOVE and His FAITHFULNESS go continually hand in hand. We can depend on that abiding essence of His Being. However, there is another relationship where such should also be seen as powerfully drawing together. The sweet embrace of God’s STEADFAST LOVE ought to be met with the outstretched arms of our FAITHFULNESS to Him and His Will. That too should be seen as a natural drawing together in sweet embrace. When we recognize how much He loves us, how can we not be drawn into a faithful relationship with Him? May we help others come to know His STEADFAST LOVE so that they too will be drawn into a FAITHFUL relationship to Him as well.
