Character Of The Established! (part 5 of 14)

Who may dwell with God? David noted the character of such as one who. . .
". . .speaks truth in his heart;" (Psalm 15:2c ESV)

How sincere is our HEART? Jesus noted that it is out of the overflow of the HEART that our mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45) We must therefore be mindful of our HEART CONDITION.

David pointed to one whose word could be trusted. Whatever was professed was true from within. Here was one whose life was not marked by deceit. And if the love of God is seated in the HEART, then this would be one who speaks the truth in love. (Ephesians 4:15) May we be characterized as such a one.

Have a great day SPEAKING FROM A LOVING HEART!

Character Of The Established! (part 4 of 14)

Who may dwell with God? David noted the character of such as one who. . .
". . .does what is right. . ." (Psalm 15:2b ESV)

Many times people want to know "why" they should do a certain thing. Sometimes they want to know what the consequences of not doing something might be before they decide if the thing is worth doing. Is it not enough to do something simply because it is the RIGHT thing to do?

The one David seemed to be describing here is one who strives to do what is RIGHT. It is a life aimed at being in harmony with God's standard. It is descriptive of one who deals faithfully and fairly with others in the various affairs of life. It is one who has determined that regardless of the situation his choice is to do the RIGHT thing.

May our aim continue to be on doing that which is RIGHT in all circumstances.

Have a great day DOING THE RIGHT THINGS!

Character Of The Established! (part 3 of 14)

Who may dwell with God? David noted the character of such a one as. . .
"He who walks blamelessly. . ." (Psalm 15:2a ESV)

This is not a "perfect" individual. So long as we are in the flesh we shall not be perfected. However, this is the individual who lives with a sincere desire to PLEASE GOD in all things. This one lives with integrity in the sight of God and man. This is one who lives and conducts himself in the affairs of life in an upright manner. The King James Version refers to this individual as one who walks uprightly. There is a soundness of life for such a one.

May we seek, above all, to live PLEASING TO GOD. By so doing it will be hard for man to find fault with the aim of our life.

Have a great day LIVING UPRIGHT BEFORE GOD AND MAN.

Character Of The Established! (part 2 of 14)

David asked a question worthy of our focus.
"O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?" (Psalm 15:1 ESV)

God has sought to create within us a CHARACTER suited for dwelling with Him. Someday, those who are His will ascend into His Most Holy realm to dwell with Him forever. It is then that God's work of INSTILLING GODLY CHARACTER will finally be complete. As we approach God, we must be mindful of the character of our heart and how it is revealed in our life. Are we allowing Him to begin His great work of transformation within us?

After asking this question, David went on to list 11 points of character before concluding with a statement of the assurance of stability for such a one.

Over the next few days let us meditate on each of these elements of character and allow God to continue to establish them in our life. You will notice some other passages referred to of which I encourage you to open your Bible and meditate as well.

Have a great day BEING SHAPED BY GOD!

Character Of The Established! (part 1 of 14)

There was a farmer who was constantly troubled by crows in his fields. After trying various solutions he finally decided to use his gun to scare them off. While the crows were eating in one of his grain fields, he shot his gun into their midst. All of the birds except one flew away. When the farmer went out into the field to pick up the bird that remained he found it was his pet parrot that had escaped from its cage and joined the crows. As he picked up the parrot he said, "Oh, Polly, this is the result of keeping bad company." Carrying the parrot inside his coat, he met his daughter who asked, "Did you shoot any crows, Daddy? "I've shot Polly," was his reply. "Oh Daddy, how did you do that?" The parrot stuck her head out from under his coat and said, "Bad company, bad company!"

On what have we sought to establish our character? What do we allow to INFLUENCE our character.

Paul admonished:
"Do not be deceived: 'BAD COMPANY RUINS GOOD MORALS.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 ESV)

The New King James Version reads. . .
"Do not be deceived: 'EVIL COMPANY CORRUPTS GOOD HABITS.'"

We need to be very mindful of the impact of our choice of associations. The influences that impact our life can be very subtle. We may find we are not as strong as we thought. We must therefore be mindful of where we are spending the greatest amount of our time. Though there is the need to reach out to those in the world we need to be sure we spend plenty of time around those from whom we can gain proper direction and encouragement. We need to spend time where we will be INFLUENCED by godliness.
Over the next few days share with me in meditating on a focus of character from the five verses of the fifteenth Psalm.

Have a great day STRENGTHENED BY GODLY INFLUENCES!

For The Keeping!

Some things may be there for the taking while others are kept for the keeping. Those things kept for the keeping are kept because they are possessions which have become very prized. Perhaps such items are displayed in the home for others to see, but the possessor does not want them to be removed from where they are.

Do we have a possession that is being kept for the keeping? Solomon referred to something we all possess that brings tremendous blessing in the keeping. In fact, to have it otherwise can create great distress. However, though some might think it a good thing for others, I don't believe we want it removed from where it is.

Solomon stated. . .
"Whoever KEEPS his mouth and his tongue KEEPS himself out of trouble." (Proverbs 21:23 ESV)

When the mouth and tongue are restrained -- by being kept in check -- it KEEPS US OUT OF A LOT OF TROUBLE. Just like water having been released from a dam (i.e. Proverbs 17:14), once the words have left our lips, they cannot be drawn back in. Therefore, let us be mindful how dignity, peace, pride, reputation, and friendships are kept in the keeping of the mouth shut and the tongue held back.

Have a great day CAREFULLY WATCHING THAT WAGGING WONDER!

God's Delight!

“God’s got to be greatly delighted to have me because I have so much to offer.” Is that the perspective of ourselves? Is that what delights God about our life? Though we may have talents God can use, is that the foundation of our acceptance by Him? Zacchaeus was singled out by the Lord even though there was a large crowd and besides being a “tax collector”, he was short in stature. (Luke 19:2-3) Bartimaeus was told to be quiet by the crowds, but again the Lord was willing to single him out even though he was blind. (Mark 10:46-50) I think it is interesting both of these encounters were at Jericho. Zacchaeus was greatly desiring to see Jesus and in his HUMBLE and PENITENT response to Jesus, that day salvation came to his house. (Luke 19:9) Bartimaeus also desired to see Jesus and not wanting to miss the opportunity, continued to cry out to the dismay of the rest of the crowd. Jesus drew attention to the FAITH he possessed. (Mark 10:52)

From these two examples we should note how it has more to do with the SPIRITUAL STATURE and VISION than it does with the physical, because such is the life open to RELYING ON GOD rather than merely on self. It marks the life that recognizes God holds the power to truly meet the needs of life, not one’s self. We must guard against focusing so much on self that we forget our need for reliance on God, even when carrying out His Works.

One of the psalmists stated. . .
“(10) His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, (11) but THE LORD TAKES PLEASURE IN THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, in THOSE WHO HOPE IN HIS STEADFAST LOVE.” (Psalm 147:10-11 ESV)

God sees what mankind often overlooks. May we maintain a reverent fear of God that causes us to seek His Will and keeps our hope in Him. It is this attitude toward Him that creates a solid foundation for His Works to take place in and through us. Being submissive to His Will is what delights Him and makes us useful to His purposes regardless of physical characteristics.

Have a great day CONSIDERING THE STATURE OF OUR INNER BEING!

Power Of The Postive!

It has been noted that the greatest achievements of mankind have been accomplished by two types of people: those who were smart enough to know it could be done and those too dumb to know it couldn’t. It is amazing what some CAN accomplish when others just leave them alone and let them try. Someone else has stated, “There are three kinds of people in the world: the wills, the won’ts, and the can’ts. The first accomplish everything; the second oppose everything; the third fail in everything.” [original source unknown]

Into which of these groups might we feel we fall? It has long been believed that the use of “positive affirmations” CAN powerfully motivate toward success. However, some become so positive they can’t do anything that they become amazingly successful at failure! Certainly we each have limitations, but often times we sell ourselves short of what CAN be accomplished either by or through our lives that we simply don’t put forth the effort.

When I consider the life of Paul, I see one who was very successful in the work of the Lord. For sure he had challenges and setbacks. There were times his desired work in an area was hindered, even by Satan. (1 Thessalonians 2:18) However, in his reliance on the Lord and allowing God to do His Work through Paul, he was powerfully motivated to press on in it. Was there a “positive affirmation” associated with His life? Most definitely! Can there be a more powerful “positive affirmation” than the one Paul made in his letter to the church at Philippi?

We read. . .
“I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH HIM WHO STRENGTHENS ME.” (Philippians 4:13 ESV)

I believe Paul’s success in ministry was relative to the coupling together of his “I CAN” attitude with the strength the Lord provided. It did not all depend on Paul, but he still had to be willing to step forward in faith and allow the Lord to use him -- and use him the Lord did! We are all probably very familiar with those words of Paul. However, maybe it would be a good regular exercise to recite them until we truly begin to believe them for ourselves. If the work is what the Lord desires us to do IT CAN be done!

Have a great day CANNING THE “CAN’TS” AND BE DOING TO HIS GLORY!

Trail Blazing!

Venturing out into the forest, many trails can be encountered. Some of these paths may become overgrown due to lack of use while others can be clearly seen as the most frequently traveled. The cleared paths are generally recognized as the main trails to be followed. Getting off the beaten path is what has caused many hikers to become lost. However, even a good trail can become impassable if not frequently traveled or properly cared for.

Solomon noted. . .
“The way of a sluggard is like a hedge of thorns, but THE PATH OF THE UPRIGHT IS A LEVEL HIGHWAY.” (Proverbs 15:19 ESV)

Through laziness, the sluggard creates no path either for themselves or for others. The way before them is left overgrown as a path that is not being walked until it becomes impassable. Perhaps it is imagined obstacles that keep the sluggard from moving forward because not only are they lazy in living, but also in faith. However, the path frequently traveled remains clear. The righteous will press on in spite of obstacles and in the process HELP CLEAR THE WAY for others. Living in uprightness -- though it takes effort -- should help blaze A GOOD PATH to continue on as well as for others to follow in.

The best way for us to keep A CLEAR PATH for others to follow is for we ourselves to continue to follow the one already blazed by our Lord. Remember He is “THE WAY” and only access to the Father. (John 14:6) May we be certain the highway on which we are traveling is the King’s Highway as we journey through life in a manner that will potentially draw others to follow on with us. Being determined to put no obstacle in anyone’s way (note Romans 14:13 and 2 Corinthians 6:3), let us continue to press on in faith in the path of righteousness.

Have a great day LEADING OTHERS IN “THE WAY”!

Who's Menu?

Imagine a woman spending hours preparing a meal she knows will be tasty and satisfying. She carefully mixes all the ingredients, seasons everything just right, and makes certain it is all cooked well, but not overly done. Consider her joy when she watches her family and guests begin taking their first bites and is able to clearly see how much they are enjoying what she has lovingly prepared. To know what she had selected for the menu and so carefully prepared is received with such satisfaction is certainly a sight that would gratify her heart.

Note the following words of David.
“(7) How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. (8) They FEAST ON THE ABUNDANCE OF YOUR HOUSE, and you give them DRINK FROM THE RIVER OF YOUR DELIGHTS.” (Psalm 36:7-8 ESV)

We live in a world where there appears to be a lot of table-hopping. What I means is, people feast a little here and a little there, always looking for something to satisfy their personal tastes or feed the mood of the moment. With table-hopping comes two things: a change in food selections and a change in the company surrounding that particular table. As we feast in life, we should give serious consideration to what we are seeking to satisfy our appetites as well as the company with whom we may be feasting (sharing life). These both can have either a positive or negative impact on our spiritual well-being depending on where we have chosen to feast.

Considering the words of David, did you note whose preparations were taken in? It was a feasting on the abundance of GOD’S HOUSE and drinking from the river of HIS DELIGHTS. Consider the joy it must bring to God when He sees us enjoying not merely our own personal delights, but rather the delights HE HAS PREPARED for filling our lives. When we find satisfaction in eating from HIS MENU rather than opting for “smorgasbord” living (taking only that for which we have a personal taste) we can know that not only will it be good, but good for us. May we continually keep our feet under His table!

Have a great day DELIGHTING IN THE DELICIOUS DELICACIES OF GOD!

Safe Indicator!

Recently while maintaining the 55 miler per hour speed limit driving on a state highway, my speedometer needle suddenly sprang up past 90 and back down and then up again. My speed had not gone up, but the speedometer connection began to do some crazy things. The needle finally settled down and began registering a steady speed. However, when I did slow down coming into a small town along the way, I could tell by the gauge showing my engine RPM’s in relation to the gear I knew I was in that I was actually at that time going faster than what the speedometer was indicating. When I began moving along with other traffic I decided the speedometer reading was about 15 miles per hour lower than what the actual speed was. However, such a conclusion was dependent on the traffic -- to which I was making the comparison -- going the proper speed limit. It was not until I used my GPS unit (which also shows miles per hour) that I was able to confirm the speedometer was indicating pretty close to 15 miles under the actual speed. Knowing this, I was able to travel without fear of being pulled over for speeding.

Paul cautioned those at Corinth. . .
“Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But WHEN THEY MEASURE THEMSELVES BY ONE ANOTHER AND COMPARE THEMSELVES WITH ONE ANOTHER, THEY ARE WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING.” (2 Corinthians 10:12 ESV)

When we think about living our lives, what we have allowed to GAUGE our pace is important to consider. GAUGING our life action merely in comparison with other human beings is not always a safe indicator. Like my GPS utilizing satellite readings from above to reveal true position and speed of movement, so it is that we need to look above to God for properly GAUGING our pace as we travel through life.

John warned. . .
“EVERYONE WHO GOES ON AHEAD AND DOES NOT ABIDE IN THE TEACHING OF CHRIST, DOES NOT HAVE GOD. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” (2 John 9 ESV)

The lives of some may be characterized as going nowhere fast. Are we guilty of racing ahead at times? Have we at other times been guilty of going too slow so as to impede progress of ourselves and others? Let us be mindful of GAUGING the movement of our life by the standard God provides. Even our Lord’s pace was set from above. (i.e. John 2:4; John 13:1; John 17:1; Galatians 4:4-5) May our life be properly regulated through continuing to “abide in the teaching of Christ.”

Have a great day LIVING LIFE GAUGED BY GOD’S GUIDANCE!

Encouraged By The Contrast!

Some people make mountains out of mole hills. Others make light of significant things. Still others may see the bigness of even little things. Our perception of the things around us in life (situations, challenges, circumstances, lives of others, etc.) and even of our own selves is not always on target. Due to this tendency, the very things that should serve to encourage sometimes end up discouraging instead. Note two passages which ought to provide some great encouragement for us.

Through the prophet Isaiah we glimpse the following about our God.
“(8) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. (9) For AS THE HEAVENS ARE HIGHER THAN THE EARTH, SO ARE MY WAYS HIGHER THAN YOUR WAYS AND MY THOUGHTS THAN YOUR THOUGHTS.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV)

Then from Paul we have the following stark contrast.
“(25) For the FOOLISHNESS OF GOD IS WISER THAN MEN, and the WEAKNESS OF GOD IS STRONGER THAN MEN.” (1 Corinthians 1:25 ESV)

Though these passages should humble us, I do not believe they were intended to make us feel insignificant. John 3:16 clearly indicates we are greatly significant to God. Why else would He be described as loving us enough to have given His Son? These passages ought to encourage us through our mindfulness of the greatness and hugeness of THE GOD IN WHOM WE TRUST! His higher plans and wisdom and power are for our benefit as we look beyond ourselves and begin to rely more TRUSTINGLY IN GOD!

“IN GOD WE TRUST”! That is an imprint on the coins and currency of the United States of America. Some in this country would like to see those words removed. That’s because some do not trust in Him. I submit that the greater significance would be for us to live in such a manner that “IN GOD WE TRUST” can be seen as the imprint on our life. By so doing others may begin to recognize the great significance of His wisdom and power and the huge difference it could also make in their own life. May we be encouraged by the greatness beyond us that is offered to work for us.

Have a great day WITH FAITH’S IMPRINT CLEARLY MARKING OUR LIFE!

Forever Young?

Some consider age to be relative; one being only as old or as young as they feel. Perhaps it depends on who one is around, how old or young they might feel. One of the blessings of having the opportunity to spend a week with the teens at our annual senior teen Bible camp session is that I often forget I am three times their age. There is also a sense in which the older I get the younger everyone else seems to appear. Though many might like to recapture the energy of youth, most do not wish to return to the challenges that might have accompanied those formative years. To be forever young might be appealing, but the reality is that aging takes place. What we do during the aging process is what is important.

It has been stated, “You are young only once, but you can be immature indefinitely.” [David McKechnie] Perhaps we have encountered some who have GROWN UP physically, but not MATURED. Just as it is proper to be concerned when physical growth does not take place, so it should be when spiritual MATURING is not occurring.

The Hebrew writer admonished some when he wrote. . .
“(12) For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, (13) for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. (14) But solid food is FOR THE MATURE, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:12-14 ESV)

Though these had been in the faith for some time, they were not GROWING UP in it! They were not MATURING. Spiritually they were still infants.

In mentioning the hope that is found in Christ, Paul pointed to the aim of his ministry when he wrote. . .

“(28) Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone MATURE IN CHRIST. (29) For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.” (Colossians 1:28-29 ESV)

May we continue in the process day-by-day of GROWING UP in the Lord. MATURING in Christ we can look forward to spending an ageless eternity with Him.

Have a great day FOREVER WON TO CHRIST!

Remember And Reach!

At times when we might feel we have reached the end of our rope, sometimes what we need to do is simply hold on a little tighter while we take some time to remember Who is still ultimately in control. I was struck by this thought as I was reading through the end of the book of Psalms this past week.

In one of the Psalms of David we read. . .
“(5) I REMEMBER the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands. (6) I STRETCH OUT MY HANDS TO YOU; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.” (Psalm 143:5-6 ESV)

Prior to these two verses, David had referred to his earnestness of prayer with a focus on the fearful impact his enemy was having on him. In the following verses that focus continued. However, by the time we get to the end of the psalm we again glimpse David’s trusting faith in God. What I like about these two verses placed in the midst of the confession of struggle is that David allowed his mind to be drawn into REFLECTING BACK on the works of God and that focus ultimately moved David into REACHING TOWARD Him.

David’s remembrance was accompanied by references to a meditation on and a pondering of the work of God. It was not just a passing thought, but is described as a dwelling upon what God had done. Sometimes in the midst of life’s challenges, what we need to do is stop and spend some time REFLECTING BACK on what God has done through the ages and in our own life as well. When we, like David, take time to remember, we too can be compelled to continue REACHING TOWARD God with an inner thirsting that arises from recognizing true satisfaction and victory are only in our connection with Him. For David, that deep remembrance welled up as a thirsting from deep within his soul; a thirsting which maintained his longing toward God. May the remembering and reaching continue in our own life as we keep a steadfast faith in God to ultimately deliver us from the challenges of this realm.

Have a great day REMEMBERING THE HANDS TO KEEP REACHING TOWARD!

Comfort!

When an individual has suffered a loss, having another spend some time with them can be very comforting. However, the sadness may intensify once that comforter leaves. People suffering with pain may gain comfort from strong medication, but when the drugs wear off the relief is gone as well. Such comforts -- though very real and greatly appreciated -- are only temporary. Perhaps when this is what is being experienced in life, as Christians we should accept it as a reminder there is something grander yet to come. That understanding in itself can be a source of great comfort.

After reminding the Christians at Thessalonica of the assurance of the Lord’s coming and being gathered to Him, Paul further encouraged in view of this life’s present struggles. . .

“(16) Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and GAVE US ETERNAL COMFORT and good hope through grace, (17) COMFORT YOUR HEARTS and establish them in every good work and word.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 ESV)

The Greek translated “comfort” is “paraklesis”, which literally refers to a calling to one’s side (“para”, beside, and “kaleo”, to call). Having been called to live a life alongside of God and His Will, we should have great comfort through His abiding awareness and presence as we trust in the hope that is ours in Christ. That is why Paul referred to it as ETERNAL COMFORT. Comforted in such a way, we can then press on in His “good work and word” entrusted to us.

Paul’s own view of such comforting hope was expressed in His letter to the church at Rome where he wrote. . .

“(18) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are NOT WORTH COMPARING WITH THE GLORY THAT IS TO BE REVEALED TO US.” (Romans 8:18 ESV)

Like Paul, let us remember the suffering of this realm will pass and be replaced by a glory of such significance that there is just no comparison. Not a transient comfort, but an ETERNAL COMFORT because of the “good hope” we have by His grace. May God’s ETERNAL COMFORT continue to soothe our hearts and establish them for involvement in His works and steadfastness in His word.

Have a great day STRENGTHENED BY THE ABIDING COMFORT OF GOD!

More Blessed!

John recorded many marvelous events and words of Jesus in the 21 chapters that compose his Gospel. However, note what he stated as he was bringing his record of the life of Jesus to a close.

We read. . .
“(25) Now there are ALSO MANY OTHER THINGS that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25 ESV)

What has been written was for the purpose of helping us believe (John 20:30-31). All that has been written has proved enough to do just that for those who are willing to accept what God has revealed. However, there is a statement Jesus made that was not recorded in either of the four Gospel accounts. It is a statement Paul mentioned in his farewell address to the Ephesians elders.

Paul stated. . .
“(35) In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE.’” (Acts 20:35 ESV)

Doesn’t it feel good when we have SOMETHING TO GIVE to others. As we GIVE we realize how blessed we are to be able to GIVE. In GIVING there is benefit for ourselves in praising God to be in a position to GIVE and there is benefit to the one receiving as they thank God for those who have given.

As my son, Charles, and I [back when this focus was originally written in 1998] were checking e-mail the other night we both chimed in together saying: “It is more blessed to SEND THAN TO RECEIVE.” He then said, “There’s a ‘teEn-MAIL’ focus!” We discussed how we can SEND a kind word. We also noted how we can SEND encouragement to others. We can SEND prayer requests along as well, to help in the strengthening of others. Just think what it means to you when you receive encouragement via e-mail. Keep it going. Send it on to others. Utilize, to the glory of God, this wonderful means He has given us to touch the lives of others. I have been blessed. I hope I can bring the blessing of encouragement and support to others. I receive blessing in the sending of these daily focuses, because as I seek to encourage I am also uplifting my own focus each day. It is marvelous how God works things, isn’t it?

Have a great day ALLOWING GOD TO SEND BLESSINGS THROUGH YOU!

Sink Your Teeth Into It!

As a judge sat back in the chair of his dentist he remarked, “Please pull the tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth.”
There are many today trying to pull a lot of things which are far from the truth. They toss out ideas and wait for us to bite. However, some of these ideas are like a wad of cotton candy; bite into it and it melts away; no nourishment; just sugar coating.
We are so much in need of something of substance in which to sink our teeth. With so many ideas out there, no wonder the question is still asked, “WHAT IS TRUTH?” (i.e. John 18:38)

Note part of Jesus’ prayer for His disciples:
“(17) Sanctify them in the truth; YOUR WORD IS TRUTH.” (John 17:17 ESV)

The place for us to always begin is with God. He is the author and source of TRUTH. He cannot lie (Hebrews 6:18). He has given us His Word so that we can know the TRUTH. I am thankful I can turn anywhere within the pages of the Bible and know I am looking at TRUTH. My next step is to meditate on it and ask God to help me understand and apply it to my daily life.

God has given us the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH.

Jude wrote:
“(3) Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was ONCE FOR ALL DELIVERED to the saints.” (Jude 3 ESV)

Open up His TRUTH. Bite off a little. Chew on it through the day. Make this a part of your daily diet. Soon you will begin to feel what a difference spiritual nourishment will make in your daily decisions and general focus.

Have a great day NOURISHED BY GOD’S TRUTH!

Instruments In The Right Hands!

There have been times someone has called on the phone and asked, “Is Carl handy?” Sometimes my wife will respond, “Not very!” However, she means it in jest ... I hope. I know she appreciates some of the fixing I do around the house, but I do realize my limitations. There are some tasks I will not even venture to begin. The reasons for not fixing some things boils down to two: [1] I don’t have the proper instruments (tools) or [2] I don’t have the proper know how. The right instrument in the right hands can fulfill the task marvelously. These two need to go together as there are some people I’m not sure I would want to be around if they had a paint sprayer in their hands.

Following Saul’s (later called Paul) seeing the light on the Road to Damascus, Ananias was told to go to him. Due to Ananias’s knowledge of Saul’s persecution of Christians we can understand his reluctance. However, the Lord made it clear to Ananias that He had plans for Saul.

We read. . .
“(15) But the Lord said to him, ‘Go, for he is a chosen INSTRUMENT OF MINE to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.’” (Acts 9:15 ESV)

When we read through the book of Acts we see how marvelously and skillfully the Lord used Paul as HIS INSTRUMENT! He was GOD’S INSTRUMENT not only among Jews, but Gentiles as well, and his work even reached to touch the families of royalty.

When we consider the diversity of background of each of the Lord’s disciples we should be struck with how well the Lord can work through those who are willing to be taken into His hands and used. He can use me! He can use you! And He wants to!

Paul wrote to Timothy. . .
“(20) Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. (21) Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be A VESSEL FOR HONORABLE USE, set apart as holy, USEFUL TO THE MASTER of the house, ready for every good work.” (2 Timothy 2:20-21 ESV)

What a boost to our esteem seeing how we are valued in God’s eyes. In HIS SKILLFUL HANDS He can use us to continue His marvelous work. Let’s let Him.

Have a great day USEFUL IN THE HANDS OF GOD!

Hopes!

We presently have four grandsons and two more grandchildren on the way, one of which (a granddaughter) could be here before the end of the month. When children are born into this world, the proud parents (and grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) may be eager to notice what characteristics have been handed down to the next generation. They may also focus on the hopes they have for what that child might become. Some of those hopes might be fully realized while the choices of the child could take them in a different direction. At some point, children themselves begin to develop their own aspirations and hopes for life and they may still live a good productive life without all those hopes materializing.

Peter encouraged those to whom he wrote. . .
“(3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be BORN AGAIN TO A LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (4) TO AN INHERITANCE THAT IS IMPERISHABLE, UNDEFILED, AND UNFADING, kept in heaven for you, (5) who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5 ESV)

These to whom Peter wrote were going through some very challenging times. Some of the persecution they faced was severe. They may have had many hopes for this life that were not going to be gained and had probably lost some of their possessions that were considered an inheritance either for themselves or the next generation. However, because they had been BORN AGAIN (John 3:3-5), connected with that NEW BIRTH was a “LIVING HOPE”, as well as a SECURE INHERITANCE.

That same “LIVING HOPE” is for us today, as well as the eternal INHERITANCE associated with it. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the assurance of this because, like Him, death is not the end, but rather the open door into a glorious INHERITANCE that is eternal, pure, and will never lose its luster! May we be encouraged by the HOPE that will not disappoint us!

Have a great day KNOWING WHERE TRUE HOPE LIVES ON!

The Whole Self!

There are some things in life that people approach half-heartedly. Others go about tasks with the mind somewhere else. Such division creates the potential for lack of quality in works and may ultimately draw one away from proper actions. This is no more true than in relation to our spiritual lives. A divided focus does not lend well toward faithfulness to the Will and Purposes of God and does not truly reflect a worshipful focus on His worth-ship. Worship has been defined by one as follows: “For to worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to open up the heart to the love of God, to devote the will to the purpose of God.” [attributed to William Temple, an Archbishop of Canterbury] In other words, it comes about through a focus wholly on God and all that relates to Him!

Paul expressed the proper life focus this way. . .
“(23) Now may the God of peace himself SANCTIFY YOU COMPLETELY, and may your WHOLE SPIRIT AND SOUL AND BODY BE KEPT BLAMELESS at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (24) He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 ESV)

The word translated “completely” is from the Greek “holoteles” which means “wholly” or “through and through”. Having been sanctified, we have been set apart for GOD’S EXCLUSIVE USE! That is to encompass not just one aspect of our life, but our entire being; our “whole spirit and soul and body.” We are to strive for blamelessness and holiness inside and out! No aspect of our life is to be excluded as we consider our “spirit” to be our connection with God, our “soul” as the habitation of the consciousness and character or essence of our being, and our “body” as the physical active part of our life. All of this is with joyful anticipation of our Lord’s return.

The holiness and blamelessness God makes possible is what enables us to be at peace with “the God of peace.” Just as there can be no peace when there is division between others, so there cannot be true peace when our individual life is divided. Let us continue to be mindful of GOD’S EXCLUSIVE USE of every aspect of our being so that His worth-ship is made evident through genuine worshipful living.

Have a great day OF WHOLLY HOLY SUBMISSION TO GOD!

Encouraged For The Challenge!

A lot of attention has focused on the 2008 Olympic Games which held opening ceremonies in Beijing this past Friday (08/08/08). Much effort has gone into preparation for all the events, with many athletes (and countries) hoping to return home with the gold. The Olympic creed reads: “The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.” The Olympic motto is: “Citius, Altius, Fortius”, three Latin words meaning “Swifter, Higher, Stronger” (or “Faster, Higher, Stronger”).

Such focuses are offered to the Olympic athletes as the encouragement to catch the spirit of the games and so step forth to do their very best in the competition. In relation to the years of preparation going into the Olympic Games, the competition does not last very long. However, while the games continue, the competition will be spurred on by the cheers of other athletes and the spectators in the stands.

Perhaps we find our parallel motto for life in the words given through Isaiah. . .
“but they who wait for the Lord shall RENEW THEIR STRENGTH; they shall MOUNT UP WITH WINGS like eagles; they shall RUN AND NOT BE WEARY; they shall WALK AND NOT FAINT.” (Isaiah 40:31 ESV)

Note how the same elements of speed, being uplifted, and strength are provided by God. It is He to Whom we can look for being sustained in life’s struggle. In addition to God’s STRENGTHENING to run life’s race, we also have (in contrast to the Olympic creed) the assurance of TRIUMPH! In fact, it is far beyond any TRIUMPH this world can offer.

In view of the struggles of life, Paul encouraged. . .
“No, in all these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 ESV)

As we continue with the aid of God in tackling life to the best of our ability, let us remember the encouragement of Paul to the church at Corinth when he wrote. . .

“(24) Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So RUN THAT YOU MAY OBTAIN IT. (25) Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, BUT WE AN IMPERISHABLE.” (1 Corinthians 9:24-25 ESV)

The Creator of life has provided His motto and creed for life. May we be caught up in His Spirit as we continue to press on in life’s arena until we are finally lifted up in final VICTORY!

Have a great day PRESSING ON KNOWING THE PRIZE WE SHALL RECEIVE!

A Time For ... !

With a “watch” we are able to tell what time of day it is so as to be on time for appointments. When it comes to the varying situations of life, it is “watchfulness” of our reaction that helps determine that for which it is time.

In one of David’s psalms we read. . .
“(1) Be not silent, O God of my praise! (2) For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues. (3) They encircle me with words of hate, and attack me without cause. (4) In return for my love they accuse me, BUT I GIVE MYSELF TO PRAYER.” (Psalm 109:1-4 ESV)

The literal wording here is actually “I PRAYER.” PRAYER was David’s focus. Sometimes we talk about people who have a PRAYER life, but the wording here seems to imply that PRAYER was in essence David’s life. PRAYER was a constant companion and source of comfort and strength to David. It was indicative of His constant relationship and reliance upon God. No wonder one of the great strengths exhibited in David’s life was that of self-control. There was much he left in the hands of God, rather than taking matters into his own hands. His focus was on a time for PRAYER rather than personal retaliation!

Like David, let us be watchful of those situations where we might wonder how to respond and see how PRAYER is actually the most appropriate response. When tempted to “speak out” in retaliation, let us remember to “speak up” toward God in PRAYER so that we refrain from fueling the situation and perhaps instead help to create the possibility for peace. Handing such situations over to God and trusting Him to ultimately deal with them can take a lot of pressure off of us and I believe that is the kind of trust God desires for us to develop in Him. May PRAYER be such a part of our Christian walk that though others may do and say what they will, we will give ourselves to the action of unceasing PRAYER! (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Thank God for such a connection any time and any place.

Have a great day CONNECTING WITH GOD AS WE INTERACT WITH OTHERS!

What Makes The Difference?

Work or play? Which would we rather do? Perhaps we would all be quick to say “play”. However, what is the difference between them? Both can consume time. Both may cause us to work up a sweat. Both may require the use of the same muscle strength. Both may also require the same amount of concentration. So, what makes the difference?

Perhaps what it simply boils down to is what we have decided “we want” to do. That means it all really depends on our ATTITUDE regarding that which we are doing. It has often been said that if one loves what they are doing for a living they will never have to “work” a day in their life. Again, that points to the difference not being in what is being done or energy being expended, but rather the PERSPECTIVE toward the activity in which one is involved.

Addressing a work ATTITUDE, Paul urged. . .
“(23) WHATEVER YOU DO, WORK HEARTILY, AS FOR THE LORD AND NOT FOR MEN, (24) knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. YOU ARE SERVING THE LORD CHRIST.” (Colossians 3:23-24 ESV)

Though the context here related to relations between slaves and masters (vs.22), is there not a principle we can apply to the works in which we also might be involved? Certainly some works are more glamorous or prestigious than others, but anything good, right, and serving to meet a need can still be approached in honor to the Lord. Doing for such a higher purpose can make a huge difference in our ATTITUDE and PERSPECTIVE of what we find worth committing our concentration, energy, money, and time toward. Connecting all our activity to a PERSPECTIVE of honoring and serving the Lord will keep the joy in the labors -- whatever they might be -- as we impact the lives of those around us.

Have a great day MAINTAINING A MINDSET FOR GOD HONORED SERVICE!

Cause For Rejoicing!

An artist may step back and admire what their hand has brought to life on the canvas. A potter may be very pleased with the finished work at the wheel. The carpenter may be greatly pleased with the house built by his skillful hands. And knowing that what they have made may also be appreciated by others can add to the pleasure of the accomplished work.

One of the psalmists stated. . .
“May the glory of the LORD endure forever; MAY THE LORD REJOICE IN HIS WORKS,” (Psalm 104:31 ESV)

The WORKS OF GOD reflect the awesomeness of His wisdom, power, and purpose. What He has made is “very good.” (Genesis 1:31) Have we developed a great sense of appreciation for HIS WORKS? Are we also continually living with the acknowledgment we too are the WORK OF HIS HANDS (Isaiah 64:8) and therefore mindful of giving God cause for rejoicing? Living to please Him (note Ephesians 5:10, Colossians 1:10, and 1 Thessalonians 4:1) and allowing His Will to be fulfilled in our life brings joy to the God Who is fully aware of all aspects of our life.

Jesus noted another cause of rejoicing when He stated. . .
“Just so, I tell you, THERE IS JOY BEFORE THE ANGELS OF GOD OVER ONE SINNERWHO REPENTS.” (Luke 15:10 ESV)

Our Lord’s wording seems to indicate it is the REJOICING OF GOD being witnessed by the angels when a sinner repents. Turning our lives away from sin and back to God provides the occasion for God to “REJOICE IN HIS WORKS.” It is a sign that His Word is working in the lives of those receiving it; changing the life direction back toward God so that the sinner is brought back into a right relationship with Him. In that we too should rejoice.

A WORK IN GOD’S HANDS! May our life -- continuing as a work in progress -- bring Him cause for rejoicing as God makes us and uses us in accordance with His Divine purposes.

Have a great day LIVING FOR THE APPROVAL OF GOD!

Blessed Remembrance!

It has been frequently noted that those who fail to LEARN FROM HISTORY are destined to repeat its mistakes. Great blessing comes through LEARNING from the mistakes of others because life is too short to be left to make them all ourselves. LEARNING FROM HISTORY helps provide better living for today which also paves the way for a better future. Just as this is true socially in the world, it is also true spiritually.

Recently reading through several passages in the Psalms, I was once again struck by part of the glorious history of God’s provision for His people from the time of Abraham to the journey to the promised land. (Psalms 105 & 106) In that history it is noted how God is One Who plans ahead (i.e. Psalm 105:17 & 44); all for the benefit of those who will honor and obey Him. However, that history was also sprinkled with periods of FORGETFULNESS of what God had done on behalf of His people. (i.e. Psalm 106:7, 13, & 21)

Paul reminded those at Rome. . .
“FOR WHATEVER WAS WRITTEN IN FORMER DAYS WAS WRITTEN FOR OUR INSTRUCTION, THAT THROUGH ENDURANCE AND THROUGH THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF THE SCRIPTURES WE MIGHT HAVE HOPE.” (Romans 15:4 ESV)

Oh, how blessed we are to be able to read through the Scriptures to LEARN what God’s expectation has been for mankind throughout the ages and the hope He has continued to hold out, even when the tendency has been toward waywardness. The record has been written. It is up to us what we will do with the lessons there. Will we ACCEPT THE INSTRUCTION? As we read, let us continue to LEARN while pressing on with endurance toward the encouraging hope that is ours in Christ. Such will make for a better today and a brighter future in God’s eternal realm.

Have a great day READING THE RECORD AND RESPONDING ACCORDINGLY!

A Sweet Embrace! (part 3 of 3)

A match made in Heaven. A match that encompasses the realm of Heaven and earth. We have a God Who desires and has provided the means for such a relationship.

Let us again read the text we have considered over the past two days.
“(10) Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other. (11) FAITHFULNESS SPRINGS UP FROM THE GROUND, and RIGHTEOUSNESS LOOKS DOWN FROM THE SKY. (12) Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. (13) Righteousness will go before him and make his footsteps a way.” (Psalm 85:10-13 ESV)

We have noted the embrace of “steadfast love and faithfulness” and “righteousness and peace.” Here we see the relationship of “FAITHFULNESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS.” One is with a perspective from the ground upward while the other is a view from above. Perhaps the drawing together here is that of a response of FAITHFULNESS of mankind from earth toward the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God reaching down from Heaven. As the light of the sun helps draw plants up from the ground toward fruitfulness, the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God looks down from above with the desire of drawing up FAITHFULNESS in our life toward Him. Verse 13 seems to imply RIGHTEOUSNESS as being the path of God. To walk with Him we must FAITHFULLY embrace His Way of RIGHTEOUSNESS and walk in it!

If we are standing on the ground of the truth of God, with His RIGHTEOUSNESS shining above us, we should be naturally drawn up in FAITHFULNESS to Him and His Will. May we continue to acknowledge that which should appropriately be drawn toward God so that HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and OUR FAITHFULNESS find their embrace together.

Have a great day NATURALLY DRAWN UPWARD TOWARD GOD!

A Sweet Embrace! (part 2 of 3)

Relationships that truly complement each other. How sweet! How beautiful! Yesterday we noted “steadfast love” and faithfulness” as being a match made in Heaven. Let us read the text again with a further focus on verse ten.

After noting one relationship, this psalm went on to point out the sweet embrace of RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE! These are even personified as kissing each other, indicative of a very tender relationship.

The sweet and tender relationship of these two is that RIGHTEOUSNESS leads to PEACE. Those who do not accept the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God cannot find PEACE. They will only find themselves opposing God and thus inviting His wrath. However, even with unrest in the world around us, a RIGHT relationship with God can still bring PEACE to our life. RIGHTEOUS living also brings PEACE to the conscience because such living wards off the regret we would otherwise be plagued with for wrong being done.

Living in the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God leads us to experience the embrace of a PEACE that surpasses understanding. (Philippians 4:7) As we strive to live in His RIGHTEOUSNESS, may we continually feel the comforting and warm embrace of His PEACE encompassing our life.

Have a great day ENJOYING THE BLESSINGS OF THE RELATIONSHIP!

A Sweet Embrace! (part 1 of 3)

When we look at couples in this world, sometimes we are quickly struck by how some people are truly meant for each other. They seem to be quite suitably matched, complementing each other’s lives in ways that continue to draw them closer and closer together into a bond that is unbreakable. To be embraced in such a relationship is a beautiful thing. However, it is the possession of a committed and humble heart that helps such relationships flourish.

In one of the psalms of the sons of Korah we read. . .

Introduced to each other, STEADFAST LOVE and FAITHFULNESS are truly a match made in Heaven. God’s STEADFAST LOVE and His FAITHFULNESS go continually hand in hand. We can depend on that abiding essence of His Being. However, there is another relationship where such should also be seen as powerfully drawing together. The sweet embrace of God’s STEADFAST LOVE ought to be met with the outstretched arms of our FAITHFULNESS to Him and His Will. That too should be seen as a natural drawing together in sweet embrace. When we recognize how much He loves us, how can we not be drawn into a faithful relationship with Him? May we help others come to know His STEADFAST LOVE so that they too will be drawn into a FAITHFUL relationship to Him as well.

Have a great day ENJOYING ABIDING HARMONY WITH GOD!

Vacation?

As I was walking yesterday, I was struck by a bumper sticker someone had posted on a “STOP” sign. Perhaps it was appropriately placed as it was something to which some people may need to stop and give due consideration. The name of our town (Port Townsend) was displayed in a lower corner of the sticker, thus implying the message related to visiting our town, though there is WISDOM to be considered relating to going anywhere. Here is what the bumper sticker stated: “Come On Vacation! Leave On Probation!” Does such a statement reflect the consequences of taking A VACATION FROM THINKING about what one is doing?

My wife and I are looking forward to some vacation time toward the end of this month. We have both had pretty full schedules and it will be nice to slow down and relax for a while. However, contrary to the implications of the above noted sticker, we do NOT take a vacation FROM WISDOM, GOOD DECISIONS or GODLY LIVING. Whenever on vacation we always plan ahead regarding where we will worship while away, we still do our individual morning Bible reading, and still pray together before going to sleep at night. Even while vacationing, some things do not change. If this is our continual focus, we won’t have to worry about leaving “on probation.”

In Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi he exhorted. . .
“And WHATEVER YOU DO, in word or deed, DO EVERYTHING IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17 ESV)

Since what Paul related to “whatever” we do, should it not also relate to “wherever” as well? Though Paul had just specifically addressed the worship of song, should this principle not also be associated with all of our life? Every aspect of our life needs to reveal its acknowledgment of the Lordship of Jesus! Therefore there are some things from which we should never take a vacation! Even when we are away from home we ought to be mindful of what our CONDUCT AND CHOICES say about God and our view of His Will. We are not to live as Christians some days while slacking off on others! Who and what we are should reflect godly consistency in life. Wherever we may be are we aiming to be seen as God’s people? May pleasing God be a daily focus wherever we are and whatever we are doing!

Have a great day MARKED BY CONSISTENT CHRISTIAN CONDUCT!

Dangerous Ignorance!

When someone says, “Stand back. I want to try something!”, it might be very wise to do so. Someone has stated, “There is nothing more terrifying than ignorance in action.” [source: “1600 Squibs And Quips”, compiled by E. C. McKenzie] Perhaps we have found ourselves stepping away from someone who was about to fix something they really knew nothing about. Such actions may be followed by a splattering mess, sparking wires, gushing water, or even an explosion. However, the worst consequence of ignorance is not bodily injury or loss of life, but the loss of eternal life.

Though it was God’s plan for Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, it was ignorance in action that played a role in sending Him there. (Acts 3:17-18) Paul had acted with such ignorance as well (1 Timothy 1:13) during the time when he spoke against Christ and persecuted the church. Peter noted that ignorance can be self-destructive as it twists the truth. (2 Peter 3:16)

In Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus, he exhorted. . .
“(17) Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in THE FUTILITY OF THEIR MINDS. (18) They are darkened in their understanding, ALIENATED FROM THE LIFE OF GOD BECAUSE OF THE IGNORANCE THAT IS IN THEM, due to their hardness of heart.” (Ephesians 4:17-18 ESV)

We are surrounded by people who think they are wise enough to live their life without any acknowledgment of God. Just as Paul warned Timothy who was at Ephesus (see 1 Timothy 1:6-7), even today there are those making “confident assertions” without fully understanding what they are talking about. The hardness of heart that provides the ground for ignorance is what was keeping those Paul mentioned in his Ephesian letter ALIENATED FROM GOD and the life He desires to provide now and for eternity.

To come to know God, one should realize being separated from Him is a horrifying thing. David seems to have expressed such separation was the worst thing he could imagine. (Psalm 51:11) He therefore acknowledged his need for repentance of sin and looked to God for the restoration he needed. May we also remain submissive to the truth God has revealed so that we may wisely retain the relationship that can be enjoyed now and for evermore!

Have a great day ACTING IN THE WISDOM OF GOD’S WORD!

Knowledge's Team Mates!

Knowledge by itself may not be beneficial. For some, knowing facts simply puffs them up with arrogance and pride. (note 1 Corinthians 8:1) It is possible to know things without knowing them as one ought. (1 Corinthians 8:2) Then there are those who always seem to be learning, but are unfortunately still unable to come to a knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:7) One can merely become a highly educated fool if they are unable to rightly apply what they have learned.

In Paul’s letter to the church at Colossae he noted his prayer offered on their behalf.
“(9) And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL IN ALL SPIRITUAL WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING, (10) so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” (Colossians 1:9-10 ESV)

What knowledge we are gaining should be considered. There are many facts we could come to know that may equip us more for winning money on the “Jeopardy ®” game show than anything else. We could fill our minds with lots of trivia, but for what life benefit? Paul’s focus here was on their becoming filled with the knowledge of God’s Will. However, is that knowledge alone sufficient? There are people who are able to quote many verses from the Bible who do not live in a manner reflecting that knowledge. Reciting and truly knowing can be two greatly contrasting things. Paul accompanied the prayer for these Christians being filled with knowledge with all “SPIRITUAL WISDOM” and “UNDERSTANDING.” UNDERSTANDING the Will of God enough to possess the WISDOM necessary for rightly applying it for practical living is what reflects truly knowing as one ought to know and therefore provides the foundation for being able to “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord.”

May we recognize the inseparableness of this threesome: KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, and UNDERSTANDING. Working together in connection with the Will of God we will be equipped for living in a manner that reflects we do truly know as we ought! May that knowledge continue to increase so that our fruitfulness to God’s glory may do so as well.

Have a great day ACKNOWLEDGING KNOWLEDGE’S GODLY PARTNERSHIP!
