Remembering Our place!

We live in a society that to a great extent has forgotten God. Not even all who verbally acknowledge Him live as if they do. Then there are those who continue their attempt to push the mention of God out of every corner of life they can. Many seem to think they have become wise enough in and of themselves to direct and govern life. However, while pushing God aside, societies’ challenges continue to grow. Reliance merely on the wisdom of mankind is not making life better.

As in all other eras of the history of mankind there continues to be the need for the same reminder. David mentioned it when he wrote. . .

“(19) Arise, O LORD! LET NOT MAN PREVAIL; let the nations be judged before you! (20) Put them in fear, O LORD! LET THE NATIONS KNOW THAT THEY ARE BUT MEN!” ( Psalm 9:19-20 ESV)

Solomon wisely declared that it is the Lord’s -- not man’s -- purpose that will prevail or stand. ( Proverbs 19:21) That is why it is His Purpose and Will we should seek to adopt for our life. Like all others, we must remember we are but men or women or boys or girls. We need direction and wisdom beyond ourselves and God continues to extend it for our blessed taking.

Our place in this realm is for our life to reflect to those around us the difference allowing God to have His rightful place in our life has made and continues to make. It is only under His guidance that we can become so much more than this world can make us. Remaining under God’s direction we can be the godly influence this world so much needs.
