Wise Building!
When it comes to building, there needs to be a plan. If there is no plan, how can we expect things to come together properly so as to provide the greatest benefit and functionality of what is being built? Good building does not just come by accident.
Solomon exhorted…
“(3) BY WISDOM a house is built, and BY UNDERSTANDING it is established; (4) BY KNOWLEDGE the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” ( Proverbs 24:3-4 ESV)
Is this not also true with the building of a life? It takes WISDOM to properly build and UNDERSTANDING for it to be well grounded and established to remain upright amidst life’s storms. We also need to be mindful of that with which we are filling the rooms of our life. What are we taking in? What are we storing away? Are we filling our life with that which is truly precious that will not only intellectually, but SPIRITUALLY ENRICH our life?
Paul focused similarly in writing to Timothy where we read…
“(20) Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. (21) Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel FOR HONORABLE USE, SET APART AS HOLY, USEFUL TO THE MASTER of the house, READY FOR EVERY GOOD WORK.” (2 Tim. 2:20-21 ESV)
Think about your life and carefully consider what you are drawing in and storing up. Paul went on to urge Timothy…
“(22) So FLEE YOUTHFUL PASSIONS and PURSUE RIGHTEOUSNESS, FAITH, LOVE, and PEACE, along with those who call on the Lord from a PURE HEART.” ( 2 Timothy 2:22)
Does that mark our individual life pursuit? Is this what we are setting our eyes upon to bring into our life? Do these reflect the essence of what we truly desire to store and display in the rooms of our life? May our life building continue according to God’s design.
Have a great day DAILY CONSULTING GOD’S BLUEPRINT!
