Day Of Discovery!

Sometimes discoveries are just happened upon while other times much effort has first been expended and even much digging done either literally or for information relative to the search. The days of such discoveries are marked with excitement and jubilation. Something found! Something learned! Another insight into the past and how it may impact the future!

Solomon stated…
“Whoever GIVES THOUGHT TO THE WORD WILL DISCOVER GOOD, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.” ( Proverbs 16:20 ESV)

Especially when we consider God’s Word, the more thought we give it and the more time we are willing to spend digging for the deeper truths, the more we “WILL DISCOVER GOOD”! Merely skimming the surface will not bring out all the gems that are there. Also knowing about the Bible and knowing the Bible are two completely different things. We know we are digging when God’s Word can still “wow” us! Even the GOODNESS of God’s prohibitions and warnings becomes more evident because of the blessing that comes to life by accepting their direction. Every command of God has our best in mind and the best life lived will be that which aligns itself with His Will.

Let us recognize the opportunity we have to make every day a “Day of Discovery!” Daily spending time giving thought to God’s Word will remind us of God’s GOODNESS, the GOOD God’s Divine wisdom can bring to our life, the GOOD He has in mind for us now and for eternity, and the GOOD we ought to continue doing. Yes, “blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.” Every facet of His Word is worthy of our trust and the effort in discovery.
