Day In And Day Out!

Some things are done and done with. They are completed. They are fulfilled. They need not be done again. Then there are those actions or tasks that are ongoing. They are done and done again and again and so on and so on. Perhaps some of these become wearisome such as monotonous every day chores. Others may be rather enjoyable such as eating.

Consider two statements from Psalms.
“I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. (2) Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I WILL CALL ON HIM AS LONG AS I LIVE.” ( Psalm 116:1-2 ESV)

Then the final verse of the last Psalm reads…
“LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! Praise the LORD!” ( Psalm 150:6 ESV)

AS LONG AS WE LIVE! AS LONG AS WE HAVE BREATH IN US! Calling upon God! Praising Him! Is that characteristic of our daily living? Day in and day out we BREATHE in and BREATHE out blessed by the air God has provided. It is He Who first breathed the breath of life into man ( Genesis 2:7) and has provided it to sustain the life of all mankind. ( Acts 17:25) How are we revealing an appreciation for that daily blessing? Are we using that breath for BREATHING OUT His Name and praises? If we have run out of praise for God we might as well have run out of breath! As long as we have breath may we continue to use it for God’s glory and praise!

Have a great day NOT WASTING OUR BREATH!
Carl
