Confidence On The Journey!
When we know where we are going, we can travel in confidence and may do so at a good pace. However, when we are unsure of THE WAY we are going, the pace is often slowed. In such situations the driving may be slowed to enable the reading of street signs or to watch for landmarks that would indicate whether or not the right direction is being traveled and turns are being made when and where they ought to be. Confidence is greatly lacking when there is uncertainty regarding THE WAY.
Reading through Psalm 119 yesterday morning, I began thinking about this as I read the following:
“I WILL RUN IN THE WAY OF YOUR COMMANDMENTS when you enlarge my heart!” ( Psalm 119: 32 ESV)
Running in THE WAY of God’s commandments! That’s the route we need to take in life because running outside the commands of God is where we will find ourselves stumbling and lost. To know HIS WAY is to provide a confidence that allows us to pick up our step with a certainty of THE WAY we are traveling. The running may also imply an eagerness on the journey in following Him and doing His Will. Is that the picture of our life?
GOD’S WAY (all that is in accordance with His Will) is not just the best way, but the only way to safely travel toward our eternal home with Him. May we have confidence in following THE WAY of God, as we trust in Jesus Who is “THE WAY” and the only access to the Father. ( John 14:6) Let there be no delay or hesitation in running in THE WAY God has lovingly and wisely laid before us.
Have a great day KNOWING GOD’S DIRECTIONS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT!
