The Artist's Work!

I love to look at paintings and other forms of artwork especially because I do not have that kind of talent. I am always amazed at the ability of artists who paint masterpieces which seem to draw the viewer right into the picture. It is also intriguing how some artists place their SIGNATURE on a corner of the canvas in a way that blends it in so as to not detract from the work itself. Though there are some artists and sculptors whose style has become so well known that their works are easily recognizable, that SIGNATURE directly and unquestionably identifies the artist with his or her work.

Have you ever considered the fact that God doesn’t place a sign with His name on it at the base of a majestic mountain? He doesn’t have to because no one else makes mountains. The same goes for the colorful meadows in their natural beauty and the ocean beaches and mountain streams, etc. On the canvas of this world and universe, the SIGNATURE of God’s masterful design and wisdom is unquestionably evident.

In the psalms we read…
“The heavens DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD, and the sky above PROCLAIMS HIS HANDIWORK.” ( Psalm 19:1 ESV)

And…

“(1) Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! (2) Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! (3) For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. (4) IN HIS HAND ARE THE DEPTHS OF THE EARTH; THE HEIGHTS OF THE MOUNTAINS ARE HIS ALSO. (5) THE SEA IS HIS, FOR HE MADE IT, AND HIS HANDS FORMED THE DRY LAND.” ( Psalm 95:1-5 ESV)

Some of the artwork of man comes with a high price. God has placed us within His beautiful creation to enjoy it for free. It is one of His gifts. May we ever acknowledge our Maker and praise Him for all His awesome works! They have been and are done with us in mind!
