Answering The Call! (part 7)
ANSWERING THE CALL! (part 7)
KEEP IN TOUCH!
When the call to a mission has been answered and the work is being done out in the field, there remains the need to be connected for further orders. It could be that everything being done is only preliminary to the final acts of the mission. All those on the mission remain where they ought to be and involved in what they were sent to do. And when the FINAL CALL for the mission to be brought to full completion comes, they are ready to respond.
Even after we have responded to the call of God it is important for us to remain in touch with the One Who has called us. By so doing, we will be prepared for that FINAL CALL!
Jesus stated:
“And he will send out his angels with A LOUD TRUMPET CALL, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” ( Matthew 24:31 ESV)
Paul encouraged:
“(15) For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. (16) For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with A CRY OF COMMAND, with THE VOICE OF AN ARCHANGEL, and with THE SOUND OF THE TRUMPET OF GOD. And the dead in Christ will rise first. (17) Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. (18) Therefore encourage one another with these words.” ( 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 ESV)
Though we have answered God’s call now, we must remain in touch and ready for the FINAL CALLING we shall one day receive. We have been called to go out into the fields to harvest souls for Christ, but the day will come when we will be called out of the fields and called home! Being where we ought to be and doing what ought to be done now keeps us prepared, serves to prepare others and also keeps us in position for that FINAL CALL!
Have a great day CONNECTED FOR THE CALL!
