The Greatest Loss!

There are many things in life that can be lost, some of which are more valuable than others. There are things that are lost that can never be regained such as one-of-a-kind items or personal things lost in a fire or other disaster. Then there are things lost that are very difficult to regain such as self-respect or one’s reputation. That which is valued most is safeguarded most. What does our living reveal MATTERS THE MOST to us?

Jesus exhorted…
“(24) Then Jesus told his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. (25) For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (26) For WHAT WILL IT PROFIT A MAN IF HE GAINS THE WHOLE WORLD AND FORFEITS HIS LIFE [Greek “psuche”, soul]? Or what shall a man give in return for his life [Greek “psuche”, soul]?’” ( Matthew 16:24-26 ESV)

While much is being amassed and protected in this world, too many are living unmindful of the greatest loss they can suffer. Though others may be striving for more of the world’s real-estate, let us remember the REAL ESTATE is the mansion prepared in heaven. It is only through GIVING OURSELVES OVER TO JESUS that this greatest loss of our soul can be avoided. To deny this will not change the reality. Therefore, let us eagerly deny self, take up our cross and follow Him. LOSING OUR SELF IN HIM is our greatest gain.

Have a great day SET ON HEAVENLY REAL-ESTATE!
