ANSWERING THE CALL! (part 4b)

Read these passages! Look up other passages of Scripture! Spend some time meditating on them! Be encouraged by them! Thank God for that to which and into which He has called you!

TO A NEW DISPOSITION!

“For you were CALLED TO FREEDOM, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” ( Galatians 5:13 ESV)

“having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the HOPE TO WHICH HE HAS CALLED YOU, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,” ( Ephesians 1:18 ESV)

“There is one body and one Spirit -- just as you were CALLED TO THE ONE HOPE that belongs to your call” ( Ephesians 4:4 ESV)

“And let the PEACE OF CHRIST rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were CALLED IN ONE BODY. And BE THANKFUL.” ( Colossians 3:15 ESV)

Do those around us marvel at how we keep our chin up even in the midst of this world’s struggles? Do they wonder at how we are able to press on? Do they notice the FREEDOM we experience in the forgiveness we have through Jesus Christ? Do they see the stability and steadfastness we have in our lives because we know where our HOPE rests? Do they sense the PEACE we experience even in the midst of a chaotic world? Do they notice a spirit of THANKSGIVING regardless of circumstances? (note also 1 Thessalonians 5:18) God has called us so that these will be a part of our experience even in this life. These are blessings He has called us to possess!
