Process Of Duplication!

Each week a tape recorder is turned on and my Sunday morning sermons are recorded. This provides an opportunity to go back if someone wonders about something I’ve said and listen to what I actually did say. There are also times someone may ask for a copy of the tape either for themselves or to share with another. When making a copy from that MASTER tape we know the copy will play only what came from the MASTER. The duplicator (or duel cassette recorder) does not make up a lesson of its own. Perhaps the sound quality will not be quite the same as the original MASTER, but the words will be the same. We once had a duel cassette recorder that varied in speed from one deck to the other and the copies were good, but slightly slower than the MASTER from which the recording was made. Nevertheless, even then the message was still the same.

After washing the disciples’ feet and asking them if they understood what He had done, we read…

“(13) You call me TEACHER AND LORD, and YOU ARE RIGHT, for so I am. (14) If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. (15) For I have given you an EXAMPLE, that you also should DO JUST AS I HAVE DONE to you. (16) Truly, truly, I say to you, a SERVANT IS NOT GREATER THAN HIS MASTER, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. (17) If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” ( John 13:13-17 ESV)

Jesus is Lord! He is the MASTER Teacher! Being His servants we must bear in mind that we are not greater than the MASTER as the messenger is also not greater than the one who sent them. The message we have received from Christ, the MASTER, is not to be changed, but delivered to others in the words He has given and have been recorded in Scripture. We are not to make up our own message! The quality of our delivery may not be as good as the MASTER and we might be a little slower in getting the truth shared, but the MASTER’S message must remain His as we share it. His servant character is also to be duplicated in our life as well.

Being a disciple of Jesus means we are a learner of Him. We are to become like Him. May we continually seek to clearly be a duplication of the life and teachings of our Lord and MASTER, Jesus Christ. It is what the world around us most needs to hear and see!

Have a great day CLEARLY CONVEYING HIS MESSAGE IN WORD AND DEED!
Carl
