In His Presence!

A child’s awareness that their actions are taking place under the WATCHFUL EYE of their parents can produce either a sense of fear or joy. When a child is doing or considering doing something they know they have been told not to, the WATCHFUL EYE of their parents makes them very uncomfortable. On the other hand, when involved in a school program, getting ready to do a back flip off a diving board (or some other such activity), or trying something for the first time of which they might need help, they want the full attention of their parents and are joyful to receive it.

Solomon noted…
“The EYES OF THE LORD ARE IN EVERY PLACE, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” ( Proverbs 15:3 ESV)

The WATCHFUL EYE of parents can sometimes be avoided, but that is not the case with our Heavenly Father. Our every action is committed under His WATCHFUL EYE. How does that make us feel? Doesn’t it depend on the kind of relationship we are seeking to retain with Him? If we are sincerely seeking to please God there should be great comfort in knowing our life is within His full view; He being aware of our challenges as well as our successes in life.

Let us continually be mindful of living our life in the presence of God. There is nothing that can be hidden from Him (note Hebrews 4:13) and our accountability to God must be given serious consideration. However, knowing He is fully aware of every aspect of our life should give us joy in knowing we are significant to Him. He knows all that we need! ( Matthew 6:32) He cares! ( 1 Peter 5:7) May His WATCHFUL EYE be an ever present producer of both comfort and joy!

Have a great day RELISHING LIFE IN GOD’S PRESENCE!
Carl
