Truth Of Love!

We have been called to speak the truth in love ( Ephesians 4:15). That is the best way for truth to be expressed? But how is love itself best expressed? Is the speaking of loving words sufficient for the task?

Paul unequivocally stated…
“IF I GIVE away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, I GAIN NOTHING.” ( 1 Corinthians 13:3 ESV)

It has been noted that one can give without loving (as Paul indicated), but it is impossible to love without GIVING! That is what love is all about; GIVING, not taking! Who has demonstrated that kind of love more than our Heavenly Father ( John 3:16) and our Lord, Jesus Christ ( Mark 10:45)? Do we possess such a love? Is it being made evident in our life?

John stated…
“WE LOVE BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US.” ( 1 John 4:19 ESV)
Through the selfless demonstration of love, we reveal our appreciation for the love we have received. God got the ball rolling though His GIVING love. May we keep passing it on!
