Another Year Passed!
Here we are, the last day of 2006. Perhaps, like me, you wonder at how fast the year seems to have passed. God, in His great wisdom has given us life not in one big lump, but rather a day and moment at a time. That is how we should embrace the gift of each day as we unwrap it and put it to use in ways that reveal to God how much we appreciate what He has given.
Thank you for your continued interest in these daily focuses and a special welcome to those who joined the list this past year. I am so grateful for those of you who have continued to help promote “teEn-MAIL” and share it with others. I thank God for the special connection “teEn-MAIL” has brought about with precious souls from around the world whom I may never meet face to face this side of Heaven. Thank you to those of you who have let me know that I and the work here in Port Townsend, Washington (USA) continues in your prayers. I am also thankful for those who have let me know of the works going on in their area so that I could pray for those as well.
I thank God who continues to keep the daily focuses coming, for without His help and the wisdom of His Word this phase of my ministry would have ended long ago. I want to continue to encourage you all to spend time daily in the Word beyond the focuses I send. It is what God Himself declares through His Word that matters most, therefore He must be allowed to have the last word on every subject. Reading three to four chapters a day in the Old Testament and one chapter a day in the New Testament six days each week will allow you to read through the entire Bible in less than a year. As you make resolutions for the New Year, why not select a time of day that will work best for you and commit to reading through the Scriptures during 2007. Join me in making it an annual habit.
As we step from the old into the new, we may not know all that the new year holds for us. However, let us remember the One Who holds the future in His hands as we surrender our lives to Him for the work He desires to do in and through us.
In John’s words I pray for you…
“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” ( 3 John 2 ESV)
Have a great day FINDING THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE DAY HAS BEEN GIVEN!
Carl
