When To Consult!

There are businesses which know what their business is all about that will still on occasion call in a consulting firm to advise them on decisions being made. The business world can be very challenging and with companies competing against each other for the same consumer dollars, it is important to invest their energy, money, and time to the greatest advantage.

Life itself can be very complicated and the competition for the souls of mankind is fierce. The devil and his forces work 24/7 to gain control through advice and strategies that may sound good, but ultimately lead away from God and His Will. That is why it is important for us to consult God regarding our LIFE DECISIONS on a daily basis. Left to ourselves we are susceptible to being deceived.

Solomon urged…
“(5) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (6) IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, and he will make straight your paths.” ( Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)

IN ALL WE DO we need to seek God’s guidance and walk the path He lays before us. Anytime we fail to consult God, we have chosen to step out on our own. With the devil prowling around like a roaring lion seeking whom he might devour ( 1 Peter 5:8) and since he also has the ability to disguise himself and masquerade as an angel of light ( 2 Corinthians 11:14), we need to remain vigilant in acknowledging the Will of God in association with ALL ASPECTS of our life. Like a business that recognizes the benefit in using some of its hard earned profits for paying a consultant, we should never underestimate the benefit of time invested on a daily basis in the Word of God. Doing so is the only way to safeguard remaining on track. After all, it is the Author of Life Who knows all about the business of life now and for eternity.
